I just found out that my namesake band, Rush, is releasing a new album
Snakes and Arrows May 1, 2007!! I dont know if any of you are fans, but they're my all time favorite. Plus Neil Peart has been a long time inspiration to my own drumming.
Aparently the band will be going on tour again this summer to promote the new album. I saw them in 2004 for their 30th Anniversary tour, and it was a phenomenal show. Can't wait to see them again.

jesus, really?
geddy lee is going to hit all the notes huh. hahah
being a long time fan i hope its a better album than the last two.didnt neil perts family get killed or something?
Ha, yeah Geddy has had to alter some of his notes as of late... they're so old.
I only liked a couple songs from Vapor Trails, but I really enjoyed their Feedback album, with all the cover songs. I think that Neil Peart's wife and daughter died within the same year of each other. But I think that was a year or so before Vapor Trails came out. He wrote a book called Ghost Rider (hence the song on the album) about the motorcycle journey he took to think through life again.

Maybe they will do a remake of "take off"
well i have to say that other than being one of the most talented drummers ever neil is also one of the best lyricists as well ! im not a big fan of many of getty or alexs songs ,ive always looked at neils lyrics as pure genius. ive seen them 4 times and can say they put on a hell of a show ,all 4 shows was within 4 rows of the stage.
power windows was my first rush show and the best ive seen.

Hey Rush, I'm a bass player for like 20 years.
You should email me a drum track and I'll put a groove on it. Then we'll find a MOB guitar player.
Haaaa
I had tickets to Rush once, and they cancelled. Bummer.

Blimey - I saw Rush in Southampton (UK) in 1976. Farewell to Kings...lol
A year or two ago I got the replica tshirt from the 1976 tour. Of course I wasn't even born in 1976. My friends are always like, "Who the heck is Rush?" or "Why do you have a naked man on your tshirt?" (It looks similar to the logo attached.)

Lol. Great concert. Lots of smoke and Geddy started by screaming out his name. Probably still got albums up in loft somewhere. I was 16 - heady days !!
