If I recall from reading history, the Spartans used to fight naked or nearly so. Is this why you liked the "slow filming fight scenes" Undead?

well being i live in south florida you would think so ,hehe! i remember the first time i saw the matrix and walked out of the theatre like" holy shit that was cool" but then every film , it seemed, had these effects which became boring.with this movie the blood was digital ,the back round was digital ,body parts were digital but the people were real. i found it to be a very creative way to film the fight scenes.

sorry about the rant ,ive always been a huge movie fan and avid collector of comics and sports memorabilia .

Hey Undead,

I havent seen the movie yet, but cant wait to see it. I too collected comics as a kid and have a ton. Someday I will go through the collection again and maybe part with some of them. I literally have over 10k comics in plastic sleeves with cardboard backing. My favorites were Spiderman, Batman and Firestorm.

I went to the iMax in Chicago...un-F***ing-believable....if only all movies were made like this...yeah the fight scenes were killer...o yeah and Xirxes....that dude was huge & queer? lol I know this girl sitting next to me was getting pretty grossed out when people lost their heads...that was so realistic when the head got severed....you could see...as the head went spinning off the body...the cervical spine and esophagus...great detail to the film...the only detail I found were the vaccination marks some people have on their shoulder should have been covered up...they didn't have vaccinations @ 500+ BC lol..I will buy the DVD when it comes out thats for sure!
