I'm going to change the german front server to something that attracts players. Cero suggested a snipers-only server. Undead1 suggested a rifles-only server. These are not the same. Sniper-only typically runs divided maps where players snipe across at one another. Rifles-only typically runs regular maps but players can only choose bolt-action rifles for their weapon.

Which would be better? Rifles-only or Sniper-server?

Seeing a rifles server would be pretty cool. However, I ask that it not be harbor.

I myself would request a sniper server. I think it would be a nice change and bring a little action to our servers.

ya, see for a sniper server but just make sure that they are not the stock map, the maps that are devided. Also, see if the sniper can zoom in, that just cool.

steel ,sniper only from me %100 and you dont have to split it. goto "red skies tonight " in deathmatch and check out what they have-very cool and popular. we have a cod2 rifles server already. they are actually making sniper oriented maps for uo still . ip is 8.9.9.120:28960

but what im saying is i do want a sniper only server but not the typical evryone one one side firing range. ive been playing the maps at this other server and they are overly strict,maybe we could pickup where their screwing up. they have deathmatch with destryd city maps like stalingrad ,pavlov,kharkove berlin, and also ponyri ,hurtgen etc.. please take alook at what they are doing,theres a reason they are full all the time.

this morning log in to an empty server and watch how quickly it fills.

I made us our own sniper weapons mod -- just for you Cero, the sniper rifles have 4 zooms!! Undead1, there is blood and heads popping off. And of course, I put in the custom MOB compass and other goodies I'd already made for us.

The maps I put in are not all the divided kind, it's about 1/2 and 1/2. Right now I put in there SideSnipe, Haugesund Docks, NoWayAcross, Red Oktober, SOS BackYard, and ISS Bunker.

And I made it team deathmatch, not deathmatch. Plus, for now, if you want, you have your choice to pick sniper rifle or regular bolt rifle.... for those super-daring types, lol.

There may be bugs, cause I haven't had anyone come in the server to help test it yet. Let me know if you find any bugs or want different maps, etc. We'll tweak it til it's perfect, yeah? Frag on!!

Check before downloading and save a few minutes. The file mp_uo_barbarossa.pk3 has to be removed before downloading. So just pull the file out of the UO folder and drop it to your desk top. When you want to play barb you can just drop it back in the folder.

You can delete it and download it the next time you play barb, but the a/m step just saves a little time for those that take longer to download.

As soon as the sniper server is empty today, I'm taking it down. I'll put a plain vanilla coduo server in its place.

Was on theire this morning, albeit by myself, but just in wandering around the boards, I've got to say it is really, really, REALLY a great set-up!

I love the sound Mod when you get for every ten deaths... Cross started saying what the heck is this...LOL made us laugh sooo hard. Anyways, had the chance to cycle through alot of the maps... I just have to learn to have patience and stop moving around so much.

The maps are great Steel and the timing is perfect.

It took me awhile to get into the server,but hell it was worth it.

Had great fun killing 6Pak.

Steel your sniper server is awesome, even cuda dad was on and having a riot until we had to leave for a party. I think Dave would have preferred to cancel and play on your sniper map all day! I know you put a lot of work into the mapping and setting up the MODS and I appreciate it more than you know. I hope you change it back, you did an amazing job.. I just hope everyone else has the opportunity to see what quality work you do and have the opportunity that a few of us did to try it out.

The german front mod was cool and all, but I like the sniper server better. Disregard all my previous posts about the german front mod.

I can't imagine the endless hours you spent putting together the sniper server. I only had a short time to play on it and it was great!!!

I really hope you reconsider and replace it with German Front!! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to try it out.
