Any thoughts about CTF server? or has it been tried.
I like playing the CTF rifles only servers out there, it's a fun change of pace from team deathmatch rifles only.

given the fact that we have a 4x4 ctf team in the clan and since the servers seem very slow curently, shaking it up with a ctf server i think is a very fine idea. thanks for the suggestion.

I have strayed from the clan lately, The new to me COD2 servers are fun,
I played barbarosa UO for about a year, and although I love the Rifle TDM server, I miss having an objective.
That being said there are a few Rifles only CTF servers out there that are a good time to practice your skills.
If they are worth the clan's time and support remains to be seen, but for me I would like it.
Just throwing it out there for everyones thoughts.

I like CTF but seems like when I play it in a PUB I get uber frustrated because seems I'm the only one playing to cap a flag at all cost. The other guys are playing TDM with a flag on the board.....

I know we don't play Search and Destroy as a clan, but a lot of people like SND a lot. I myself thoroughly enjoy SND and I know SND servers are always popular. So maybe we could do a CTF and SND server that rotates gametypes everyother map? So like SND one map then a CTF map then a SND map again and so on and so forth. And then we would play it on the most popular maps? Maybe throw in a map like Rhine or something? Just my thoughts. But I would like another server. And another thought, it's not that the servers are dying, it's that as a clan we don't get in them to start populating them as much. For example, yesterday the Stocks server was empty and Slim and I hopped in and asked some buddies to come play and before you knew it I think we had something like a 7v7 going on with a good 15 people. So we just need to work on starting up our own servers. A new one might also and a little spice to the mix.

It's the new math some would have us use... it's ok as long as he feels good about it....

I love ctf more then any other gametype...so can you make a ctf rifles server...for me...and blitz...and the community...and stuff

Gosh, I mistakenly thought this thread was about a coduo ctf rifles server, as I was working on putting one up at the time (didn't pay close enough attention to the category this thread was in). Sorry.

We have several requests now for various COD2 servers. Drpepperman wants a COD2 HQ server too. Old Man Mike suggested maybe putting up a COD2 server that could be changed quickly to any gametype wanted, like we do with the match servers.

It's sort of a question of whether to put up new coduo and cod2 servers or save room for MOH:Airborne and COD4 in the server box.

Probably when the MOH:Airborne single player demo comes out tomorrow and we all get to see whether or not it's any good, it will help decide about making more coduo or cod2 servers.

Of course, we could always decide to take down some existing servers that aren't getting much use anymore. Dunno, whatcha think?

I vote that we resurrect Shottyville and put it on the MOB box.
