Just checking if there is a problem with the server

when i try joining the download comes up and nothing happens

MyWifesMule

Sounds like a file mismatch, unpure.

I recently ran the COD cleaner and this happened to me as well. I went to connect and it wouldn't download anything. I ended up fixing it by doing a Google search on the Tuchola .pk3 file (exactly like it displays on your screen during a failed download). I found it and downloaded it outside of COD and placed it in the Call Of Duty/UO folder. All is well now. Hope that helps

Here is where I got the file: http://turkeyfiles.escapedturkey.net/cod/toxic_bas/

Thanks for that capt i will give it a try

Is there a fix you can put on the server because i think most peeps are having the same problem because it is always empty when i look for the server when there was somebody on it all the time in the past.

Anyway thx for the help guys

I just checked, the files needed are there. As MyWifesMule said, you probably had a map conflict is why it wouldn't download to you. Or you might have tried going straight from another server with mods into the Tuch server.

This might help: http://www.mobclan.com/forums/upload/index...mp;#entry154136

I went strait from the Multi-Fixer to the Tuchola download. It appeared to start downloading but nothing was actually transferred. Tuchola had been working prior to me running Multi-fixer. Manually downloading the file worked in my case.

Um, did you make sure that Allow Downloads was turned on?

Not sure about Jack but I certainly did. It appeared to start the download with the file name, size and the download progress bar showing, but no data was ever sent. Once I downloaded it manually I was able to play the game. Other files I needed (MW Mods and the Barbarossa map for example) downloaded fine. I ended up having to use the Windows task manager to kill the game Then I tried a couple more times with the same result. There was a Tuchola file in my uo folder with a .tmp extension (0 bytes) but even after I deleted that I couldn't get the map to load. Once I got it from the site I mentioned above and placed it in my uo folder, I could play the game fine. Other files downloaded with no issues.

I'm in IT as a profession (UNIX SA) so I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. In fact I don't recall the mod with the turnip truck being an issue, just the Tuchola pk3. BTW. This happened to me TWICE. I have COD UO installed on by primary gaming machine at home and also on my laptop. I ran the Multi-fixer on my laptop first and had the problem and then on my home machine a couple of days later. Same symptoms.

You have my sincerest apologies. You were right, and now I've fixed the problem.

My gaming computer has been down for several days, so the best I could do was look inside the server box to guarantee the tuchola map was there in the download section and it and the map in the server matched.

Now that I have my gaming computer back up, I tried going into the server and you are correct, the tuchola map would not download.

Not sure what the problem was, since the map in the server and the map in the download section were identical. Maybe the FAT to it was corrupted. At any rate, I deleted the file out of the download section and replaced it with a copy of the one on the server and now all is working fine.

No, I didn't think you fell off a turnip truck, was just thinking of every possibility, since I had no way to test the server myself at the time.

NP. I wasn't lashing out or anything, it's just my somewhat odd sense of humor. In any event, glad it's fixed and I thank you for all you efforts. You Rule!!
