Full Version: John Kerry Defends Himself to Osama!!!

Cpt. Snot Rocket
I can't believe that a United States Senator feels that he needs to defend himself or apologize to Osama bin Laden! Listen to this...

On "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" GEORGE says: "Let me turn to that Osama Bin Laden tape. I want to show it. He seemed to be taunting the Democrats for not stopping the war. He said, 'The Democrats haven't made a move worth mentioning. On the contrary they continue to agree to the spending of tens of billions of dollars to continue the killing and the war there.' Now, is it true that there are more troops in Iraq today than when Democrats were elected last November to control Congress? Is that a failure?"

KERRY: We don't have 60 votes, George. No, I don't think it's a failure. We have changed the policy. We've already changed direction. We've had these revaluations taking place. We've had an accountability that never existed in the last years. And obviously that's what elections are about, and 2008 will be about it. Osama Bin Laden's tape is testimony to one thing, the failure of this administration to capture and kill him, the failure at Tora Bora and the failure subsequently.

John Kerry actually tries to defend himself to Osama by saying that they(Democrats) don't have enough votes to stop the spending, troop surge or the war!!!!!!!!!!! Unreal! Can you believe this!?!?!

He THEN turns around and says that it's all Bush's fault on why he isn't dead!!!!! Un-freakin-real!!!!

An old country preacher had a teenage son, and it was getting time the
boy should give some thought to choosing a profession. Like many young
men, the boy didn't really know what he wanted to do, and he didn't
seem too concerned about it.
One day, while the boy was away at school, his father decided to try
an experiment. He went into the boy's room and placed on his study
table four objects:

a Bible
a silver dollar
a bottle of whisky
a Playboy magazine.

"I'll just hide behind the door," the old preacher said to
himself, "when he comes home from school this afternoon, I'll see
which object he picks up. If it's the Bible, he's going to be a
preacher like me, and what a blessing that would be! If he picks up
the dollar, he's going to be a businessman, and that would be okay,
too. But if he picks up the bottle, he's going to be a no-good
drunkard, and, Lord, what a shame that would be. And worst of all, if
he picks up that magazine he's gonna be a skirt-chasin' bum."

The old man waited anxiously, and soon heard his son's footsteps as he
entered the house whistling and headed for his room. The boy tossed
his books on the bed, and as he turned to leave the room he spotted
the objects on the table. With curiosity in his eye, he walked over to
inspect them. Finally, he picked up the Bible and placed it under his
arm. He picked up the silver dollar and dropped it into his pocket. He
uncorked the bottle and took a big drink while he admired this month's
centerfold.

"Lord have mercy," the old preacher disgustedly whispered, "he's gonna
run for Congress!"

I for one can't stand our representatives. They seem to care more about thier political asperations than the future of this country. They will say and do anything to get re-elected. If thats not self serving than i don't know what is.They don't represent me thats for sure..You here over and over again fix Health care, S.S., Immigration, the deficit and nothing is ever done. Its all so frustrating and I end up Yelling at the TV ranting and rave like a lunatic.

Resently our congress sat down with "General Pitrais" cant spell his name and the Dems could not wait to rip into him.Thier feaking Traitors plane and simple.Yea Iraq is a mess but the bottom line is WE CAN"T LEAVE.Unless you wish to hand over the third biggest oil reserve on the planet to the Iranians and thats not to our best interest is it?And yes it is about OIL..I'm not worried about the Polar bear either!

I'm getting off topic and I'm sure MOD will come in here and stick my foot in my mouth..LOL..Be nice MOD.

Can you explain to me how Kerry is defending himself to Osama? It seems to me like he is answering the question George asked which happened to have a quote from Osama in it. That's usually how interviews go.

I clicked on this topic expecting something a little more worth talking about than this.
Cpt. Snot Rocket
Huh? George is directly quoting Osama and then, in essence, asked Kerry to answer Osama's challenge. I fail to see how it could be taken any other way.
That quote didn't "just happen" to be there that was the WHOLE BASIS for the the question.

How about saying that Osama Bin Laden is a terrorist and his opinions are worthless and self serving to his cause. Bringing down the USA!

We want to withdraw troops due to the following reasons:.....

What challenge - you're getting sucked in again. Al quaeda succeeds because simple minds underestimate their evil cunning. Simple thinking would assume Bin Laden is begging the Dems to try harder to get out of Iraq. Think hard.... Bin Laden is mocking the Dems lack-lustre efforts and is using the whole inadequate efforts by both parties to serve the majority of voters wishes, as a propoganda stunt.

I really want to believe you are kidding with fantastic notion that Kerry is telling Americans around the 9/11anniversary that he's sympathizing with Bin Laden.... get real my friend. I'm no Kerry fan -nor a fan of most of the dems running for 2008 presidency, but get real..... you'll twist his words into a statement of apology to Bin Laden's taunting propoganda but won't make any critique into his very accurate remark on how Bush snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in Afghanistan by refocussing/getting duped into a farce of an endeavour by getting mired in Iraq with so many exceptional resources that could be used in more critical areas.

You can bet by the almost lax daring/taunting in his tape, Bin Laden doesn't care too much about Iraq now since his real organization infrastructure is now likely fully operational again. Now that he's 'safe' -somewhere in Pakistan or Afghanistan you can bet the monster is licking his chops now with the luxury of planning when he'll like to make his showcase strike.

6-pak said it all - "Bin Laden is a terrorist and his opinions are worthless and self serving to his cause."

George prefaced the question with a statment about Osama, but then asked this question "Now, is it true that there are more troops in Iraq today than when Democrats were elected last November to control Congress? Is that a failure?" So, the "Osama" part is not part of the question. Basically, these are the types of verbal minefields reports throw at politicians. I would assume if Kerry had been more on the ball, he would have cleverly added a preface of his own, as 6pak pointed out, then answer the question. Instead, he ignored the Osama preface and answered the question like mort politicians would, by trying to deflect the answer and switch the focus/blame to someone else.

In reality, I suppose the "answer" to the first part was "yes', there are more troops (simple fact), and the answer to the second part is probably "yes" from a Domocrat perspective, because despite a majority in Congress some Domocrats are afraid to sign a bill for a clear pull-out, so in the end a bill gets passed that a majority of Democrats don't really support. Now, whether that is an ACTUAL failure or a decision in the best interests of the USA is a matter for debate.

I received this in an email and thought I would post it. Food for thought:

Worse than you thought & worth remembering and this came from a Democrat.

Dear Mr. Ex President Clinton,
I recently saw a bumper sticker that said, "Thank
me, I voted for Clinton-Gore." So, I sat down and
reflected on that, and I am sending my "Thank you"
for what you have done, specifically:

1. Thank you for introducing us to Jennifer
Flowers, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Dolly Kyle
Browning, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broderick.
Did I leave anyone out?

2. Thank you for teaching my 8 year old about oral
sex. I had really planned to wait until he was a
little older to discuss it with him, but now he
knows more about it than I did as a senior in college.

3. Thank you for showing us that sexual harassment
in the work place (especially the White House) and
on the job is OK, and all you have to know is what
the meaning of "it" is. It really is great to know
that certain sexual acts are not sex, and one person
may have sex while the other one does NOT have sex.

4. Thank you for reintroducing the concept of
impeachment to a new generation and demonstrating
that the ridiculous plot of the movie "Wag the Dog"
could be plausible after all.

5. Thanks for making Jimmy Carter look competent,
Gerald Ford look graceful, Richard Nixon look
honest, Lyndon Johnson look truthful, and John ;
Kennedy look moral.

6. Thank you for the 73 House and Senate witnesses
who have pled the 5th Amendment and 17 witnesses who
have fled the country to avoid testifying about
Democratic campaign fund raising.

7. Thank you, for the 19 charges, 8 convictions,
and 4 imprisonment's from the Whitewater "mess" and
the 55 criminal charges and 32 criminal convictions
(so far) in the other "Clinton" scandals.

8. Thanks also for reducing our military by half,
"gutting" much of our foreign policy, and flying all
over the world on "vacations" carefully disguised as necess ary trips.

9 Thank you, also, for "finding" millions of
dollars (I really didn't need it in the first place,
and I can't think of a more deserving group of
recipients for my hard-earned tax dollars)
for all of your globe-trotting. I understand you,
the family and your cronies have logged in more time
aboard Air Force One than any other administration.

10. Now that you've left the White House, thanks
for the 140 pardons of convicted felons and indicted
felons-in-exile. We will love to have them rejoin
society.

(Not to mention the scores you pardoned while Governor of Arkansas)

11. Thanks also for removing the White House
silverware. I'm sure that Laura Bush didn't like the
pattern anyway. Also, enjoy the housewarming gifts
you've received from your "friends."

12. Thanks to you and your staff in the West Wing
of the White House for vandalizing and destroying
government property on the way out. I also
appreciate removing all of that excess weight
(China, silverware, linen, towels, ash trays, soap,
pens, magnetic compass, flight manuals, etc.) out of Air Force 1.

The weight savings means burning less
fuel, thus less tax dollars spent on jet fuel.

Thank you!

13. Please ensure that Hillary enjoys
the $8 million dollar advance for her "tell-all"
book and you, Bill, the $10 million advance for your
memoirs. Who says crime doesn't pay!

14. The last and most important point - thank you
for forcing Israel to let Mohammed Atta go free.
Terrorist pilot Mohammed Atta blew up a bus i n
Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and
imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with
the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to
release so-called "political prisoners". However,
the Israelis would not release any with blood on
their hands. The American President at the time,
Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren
Christopher, "insisted" th at all prisoners be
released. Thus Mohammed Atta was freed and
eventually thanked the US by flying an airplane into
Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was
reported by many of the American TV networks at the
time that the terrorists were first identified. It
was censored in the US from all later reports. Why
shouldn't Americans know the real truth?

What a guy!!

If you agree that the American public must be made
aware of these facts, pa ss this on. God bless
America and THANK YOU (once again) for spending my
taxes so wisely and frugally.

SINCERELY,
A US Citizen

PS. Please pass along a special thank you to Al Gore
for "inventing" the Internet, without which I would
not be able to send this wonderful, factual e-mail.

AND THE REST OF THE STORY Hillary Rodham Clinton,
a s a New York State Senator, now comes under the
"Congressional Retirement and Staffing Plan," which
means that even if she never gets reelected, she
STILL receives her Congressional salary until she
dies. (Would it not be nice if all Americans were
pension eligible after only 4 years?)

If Bill outlives her, he then inherits HER salary
until HE dies. He is already getting his
Presidential salary until he dies. If Hillary
outlives Bill, she also gets HIS salary until she
dies. Guess who pays for that?
WE DO!

It's common knowledge that in order for her to
establish NY residency, they purchased a million
dollar-plus house in upscale Chappaqua, New York.
Makes sense. They are entitled to Secret Service
protection for life. Still makes sense.

Here is where it becomes interesting. Their
mortgage e payments hover at around $10,000 per month.
BUT, an extra residence HAD to be built within the
> acreage to house the Secret Service agents.

The Clintons charge the Federal government $10,000 monthly rent for the use of that extra residence,
which is just about equal to their mortgage payment.
This means that we, the taxpayers, are paying the
Clinton's salary, mortgage, transportation, safety
and security, as well as the salaries for their 12
man staff -- and, this is all perfectly legal!

When she runs for President, will you vote for her?

WAKE UP AMERICA..................

Oh noooo - to my shock I'm being a bit contentious [wow, I looked it up in the dictionary to find I actually spelled it right tongue.gif ] with Most esteemed 6 pak biggrin.gif

Who do you prefer amongst all the other dem/repub candidates 6 pak?
The email u got shouldn't be too surprising though [and I can't see how Billy boy's past presidentialmuck-ups have anything to do with his wife's current campaign]- not all Dems are big fans of Hillary - and many believe she would lose if nominated and going up against perhaps Guilliani for prez.... whereas other dem nominees may beat him.

I've said recently....

I'm not a big fan of 'Shrillery', but now that public scrutiny would almost nullify any backstage slyness on her part if she was prez I think otherwise she's shrewd/experienced enough to run the show, not brilliantly, but capably - most of the repub candidates seem set on extending the war in Iraq and aren't saying much on their other policies.

The 'Dem' email seemed fairly easy to flip over to critique repubs for all their faults and scandals too.... I can't speak for how other Dems/repubs would screw-up if they were Prez but here's my take on points relevant to its contents imo.
Funny remark the writer makes about blaming Clinton directly somehow for robbing the opportunity about when to tell her kids about what oral sex is...??
You can find many repub Prez's not mentioned in that anti-Dem Prez list have their own scandalous records too;
One would hope the new repub candidates declare how they'll never use Bush's disastrous policy of taking in unqualified best friends to run the admin in place of the best qualified.
-scandals -> Enron - Haliburton / past repub prez close ties+alliances with leaders known to be dictators and who used death squads.... scandals amongst other repub candidates-go online-> you'll find many good ones.
-the email talks about Atta getting released - well a couple of prisoners in Guantanemo bay were released and they reappeared in Afghanistan again and were caught involved in deadly attacks there. ... check the first major muck up by Bush -> how was he pursuing al quaeda the first eight months in office -even with reports coming in about planes flying into buildings- any ramped up airport security???? - the book deal bashing can be compared to Bush who was recently commenting on how he was looking forward to lucrative lecture tours he'll make after his Prez role is done.....
Writer also comments on the 'residence' scandal.... well I'm sure with so many billionaires running around in the US there are many other persons doing alot of ripping off from the public in their salaries and retirement savings.
Personally I'd prefer a Joe Biden as prez -if he had a world class leader appeal.

Any American Democrat Senator worth his weight in salt would have answered George/Osama something like this:
"First, I will not respond to this so called challenge of BinLadins. He is a criminal and a coward and is responsible for 9/11 and many American deaths. The only thing he needs to worry about us Democrats is us taking back this country and then hunting him down and bringing him and his friends to justice."

For Kerry to answer about how they don't have enough votes to stop the war/ stop the spending/ reduce the troops strength, whatever he is implying, is just wrong in so many ways.
T/A6Pak
I used to be very political.. studied political science as a minor at University. Formed the opinion after a few years that all politicians want is what will get them elected. I've done a great deal of volunteer work over the years and found that more rewarding with my job.

I once had a fond interest in it, but the more you are educated and experience life the more you lose respect for politicians---> "What can I do to get elected, what can I do to get that vote". At the end of the day, we will really never know what there personal opinions are, they don't care any more about the people than anyone else. At the end of the day, yes there are some dedicated hard working politicians, but they will never make it anywhere high in government as they don't kiss ass. Politics is all about kick backs, write offs and how to take the peoples money to run their multi million dollar campaigns.

Do I think any one goverment is the best? They all come with there history and the history they will create.
White collar criminals that know the system and how to beat it.

I'm with you on all your points too, my concern is simply not who's best [chuckle] but who would lead a powerful nation best in the world regardless of their personal 'deficiencies'/morals that unfortunately may be not an uncommom practice with fellow folks in their status of wealth.

anyways I think I'll start a thread on forum members opinions/run thru of ideas on prez candidates.
