When the war in Afghanistan got underway, there were bozos like Michael Moore and other simpletons acting grief-stricken that Afghanistan was an ideal society suddenly brutalised by war. What these knobs didn't mention was the horrendous refugee crisis happening there -along the borders with Pakistan and Iran due to the monstrosities of the neanderthal talibum dictatorship against innocent civilians.

While on the topic of Iraqi refugees, there's this issue to consider - Iraqi assisters of the Coalition needing to be pulled out when the US troops finally withdraw in bulk - many of us rember those images of vietnamese trying to get out with the last US helicopters leaving Vietnam. Amongst that crowd were many who had been helping the Americans during their stay there.

My friend just returned from Afghanistan about a month ago. He put his great job on hold for a 9 months and went over to fight the war leaving his wife and two children at home. Oh, yes he made great money going over there, but the stories he had were unbelieveable.

When he returned, he started a campaign to raise used clothing and toys to send to the children in Afghanistan.

My question is this, if all the good people leave the Afghanistan, who will be left to run it? I mean yes there is a safety issue for the residents... but do they ever plan to go back or do they plan to immigrate to another life forever?

How will Afghanistan ever be a peace, when all the good people are gone. Who will be left to run the country?

Look at Katrina and the fires in California, do all these people that lost everything just up and move to another country? No, most of them re-locate within the country or stay and help re-build it.

I guess it's a double edge sword when safety of your family is at stake, and I will never really understand as I have never lived that life.

I can only try to imagine feelings of guilt he and others must be feeling and have to live with forever seeing how the other half of the world suffers daily. I'm glad he is sharing his experiences and then you yourself share them further with others; sensationalist-seeking media network producers seem habitually to omit passing along these more important issues.
