COD4 should be on the shelfs Nov 6 and MOB Clan will be among the first with dedicated servers for the public.

Yes, it comes with punkbuster.

We'll have a bunch of stuff to decide, like what gametypes and whether we want a ranked or unranked server.

As soon as I get off of work on Tuesday I'm going to go buy the game. Hopefully I can get all my homework done on Monday so that I have time to play Tuesday night!

Yes, I found a site that had that information. Cod2 was completely ruined by not using it. I liked the game but I can't stand cheaters. how much of an inferiority complex do you have to have to cheat at a video game?

Seems to me that we should setup the first server as a ranked server and the second server as an unranked server. We will also neet to setup a COD4 match server.

Gametype choices will likely have to evolve after we all start playing and determine where we want to go as a clan. But that is part of the fun of a new game!

Rambler COD2 was patched to include PB long ago. Was a shame they did not ship it with it but they did eventually jump on board with it. It's actually not that common to find a hacker in COD2 on PB enabled servers. I will be pleased if COD4 has the same level of protection I believe.

Oh man!!! There will be ranks in cod4???? This is the first time I heard that. I always thought cod2 would be cool with them. Too bad you guys are going to have a two week head start on me .

Damn, I wish I could play this game... unfortunately it's just not gonna happen on this beat-up HP of mine. I'm lucky to get 25fps with UO! lol.

I have been on our COD2 rifles server. It is fun, even though I stink at it.

I won't be able to game with you all tonight, because I have to go stand out in the -0 degree weather at the Future Shop to get my copy of COD4. You would not believe the line up already!!

Got Mine at noon (at BB)

Got mine too. Man, this is the sweetest thing ever. Wierd though, multiplayer kinds of reminds me of MOH, something about the feel of the game.

ill just play with myself i guess while you all get to have the fun, lol.

got mine during lunch @ bestbuy.... installed while eating my sub... played for 15 minutes in a pub server... died like a martyr.

steel, i agree it is very much like the MOH...

will get back on it when the kids fall asleep.

I also got mine at BestBuy today NE of Atlanta (Snellville)
BB had lots of copies (about 40 I think) It looks like there

When you guys say it's like MOH, do you mean the old Allied Assault (please say yes) or the newer shittier Airborne / Pacific Assault?

The game sounds incredible from the reviews I've seen (9.5/10 to 10/10)!

This game might just speed up my purchase of a new computer...

Ok this is awesome so far. I think this is going to rock hard. Can't wait to get on our servers and get to learning.

When you all get it and try it, please post reviews. I know there are many out there the liked COD2, but when I bought it, I probably played it like a total of 10 times. I stuck with UO. I am weary of wasting more $$ for a game that I would like to be great, but just isnt and collects dust on a shelf.

Here in fort lauderdale i went to like 8 stores and it was completely sold out.by chance i went into game stop in a slow mall and wala! 1 left .all the best buys here are only selling the xbox version. except for seeing alot of black stuff ,the gameplay and weapons are awesome! i do agree with steel about the airborne feel but i think its only because of the sprint(you cant fire while running and its hard to see stuff) but i think alot of people with computers shy of the specs MAY be able to run this game.airborne really screwed with my eyes but this game i was comfortable.i found the maps to be alot bigger with alot of back country with high grass and stuff. i have no feel for the weapons but i love the smaller mg and was getting people with the special satchel,lol! i did not like the m16 with the 3 shot burst bs otherwise that would be my choice.

edit- the black stuff im talking about would be the enemy ,cars/trucks and grass .its hard to determine your enemy or teamate-its not suposed to be like this.

Sadly my video cards on both computers at my mom's place and my dad's place aren't up to par. So I'll either have to squeeze an upgrade out of my dad or wait until next year to have my own copy. However, my friend is getting it so if all goes well, I'll hopefully be able to play a bit, if not at least sample the multiplayer.

Undead I was having this same problem. However, on our server I did not notice it. Perhaps it is server related some how??? I dunno I will keep an eye out and see what I can figure out and try to find something online that deals with this. It is rather annoying at times..

The game plays extremely well. It does have a similiar feel to the old MOHAA except you can sprint. I think matches are going to be a heck of a lot of fun.

BTW when you preorder from Amazon, for 3 weeks they give you a delivery date of 11/6 and then on 11/6 they get around to shipping it at 6:30pm. Live and learn.

Just bought my copy and now I am loading... went to Fry's in Burbank, CA (right by the Bob Hope Airport) and they had 40 copies and priced at $49.99... SWEET

Don't know if I am ready to venture onto our MP server until I get the hang of the new weapons... compass sucks... like the old one better....

Hey Undead 1 -- about seeing players and stuff in black -- I read over in the CharlieOscarDelta forums that this can be fixed by:

In-game changing your resolution to something else then changing it back to what you want.
