If you ran the 1.1 patch before you ran the 1.2 patch, your game is NOT actually patched to 1.2

Here's how you can see if your game is actually patched all the way to 1.2:

1. Run COD4

2. Look in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen, at the numbers there:

**** If the numbers begin with 1.0, then you have a virgin game, simply download the full 1.2 patch from the auto-update link in your game, then quit the game, and run the patch. You are done. You can verify that your game patched correctly by starting the game and ensuring that the numbers in the lower right-hand side of the screen are indeed 1.2.13620

**** If the numbers are 1.2.13620, you are fine, your game is fully patched to 1.2

**** If the numbers are 1.1.13620, then you are NOT fully patched to 1.2 and need to follow these instructions.....

A. Download the iw3mp.exe file that is located in our Files section.

B. Go into your Call of Duty 4 folder and replace the iw3mp.exe file with the one you just downloaded from here on our website. (If you are the cautious type, you might want to archive/save off your existing file so you can put it back in case anything goes wrong).

C. Now, start COD4 again and verify that the numbers in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen are 1.2.13620

You may be asking, why should I bother with patching to 1.2??? Well, you will not be able to play on any servers that are patched to 1.2. I've just patched the {MOB} 7v7 TDM server to 1.2 and will patch the other servers in a couple of days. Also, surely leagues such as TWL will require everyone's games and all servers be patched to 1.2 (although at this time, TWL has not given any info on what patches will be approved/needed).

Hold on to your hats players, yet another patch 1.3 is out for COD4.
But it will take more than that to get those postage stamp run-n-gun
maps 10x larger so players can do some driving. I hate walking
everywhere....
