Hi. I'm very new to COD4, so maybe my opinion doesn't mean much, but figured I'd throw it out there anyway.
Playing a few HQ servers and I can't help but think I like better how some others are set up for score/time limit. Ours seems set up that most games end by the time limit, and whoever is in the lead, wins. Others I played are set up that the score limit is usually reached before the time limit. I really like this second configuration better, because it allows for great "comebacks". I was in a game where the score limit was 350 and we we down something like 190-330 ans stormed back to win! That was really fun. On the other hand, on our server I've been on teams that started storming back late in a game, but it never mattered because the time limit always expired first. Basically, the last 3-4 minutes were futile, there just wasn't enough time to come back. Once we lost by 5 points when we had the headquarters set up only because time limit expired.
I know comebacks are still possible, but I just find with the time limit being the deciding factor, often you look at the score then the timer and realize the last few minutes are meaningless, you just don't have time. When the time limit isn't much of a factor, it means a team is never dead even in a game until the fat lady sings (i.e. winning score reached!
Anyways, just MY thought, perhaps most disagree, maybe a few do. Just wanted to hear opinions.
