Even more interesting than the original "Crying Game" topic mysteriously going missing, is a 2nd topic started last night by Hellfighter ( another MOB member ) to continue the discussion has also now been deleted, made invisible or otherwise removed from public view.


When I saw HF's new "Crying game" topic last night I almost replied to it. Then I thought to myself, what's the point, it would get deleted too.
So on a brighter note, I consider this as final irrefutable proof that I'm smarter than Hellfighter.
I was smart enough to not waste my time replying to a topic that an "admin" was going to delete
Even better is the giggles I get from how even MOB members are not allowed to post what they want on MOB's forum.
I have to wonder if the admin who deleted/removed these topics at least had the common courtesy to tell the MOB members who started them why they were removed.
Undoubtedly it would be in their best interest if they wouldn't bother asking why their post were deleted/removed.
They should just run along like good kids and let the people in charge make these hard and important decisions about what's acceptable on a gaming forum. Otherwise you may find yourself in time out.

that references her naughty place and the smell of dead rotting fish is acceptable.
While an adult, civil, intelligent and thought provoking debate gets deleted.

I was going to post this as a reply in the Gun Control, then decided I would hate to see that topic mysteriously go bye/bye too.
So I though it best if this post was all by itself, just in case.
Since I give this a 1/10 chance of not being removed with the new….

A 'why' would be good from an admin- that was after all a decently provocative hot thread with lots of life left in it.

I was thinking censorship too at first -but I've a feeling there's another side to this coin -perhaps though maybe 'well-intended' was with still-over reacted intent.

Option 3.... it's out of public view-> moved into a mobs forum.

I can only see the original thread to have been deleted 'accidentally' or without malice intended since it was a fairly tame 'lively' thread.

I'm just overly curious about this more than anything. Anything Machiovelean around here troubles me not [my debts and drab real life issues keeps me preoccupied ]

If you don't understand why, them simply read the signature attached to my 3400+ post I made over the 5 years I supported this clan to the best of my ability.
What did I get for that? nothing but lip service from a group of people who were unwilling to speak in my defense.

In my opinion, no thread should have been deleted or moved. We have very rarely deleted threads and in those cases it was troll threads. Of course my memory could be off as try to stay out of here as much as possible and game. I do scroll through threads if something catches my eye. I do have one question for Robert though, when have you ever needed someone to defend you on the forums? I used to get extremely irritated when you would be going at it with someone and some other person would chime in.

Druid/ Robert . If i recollect you left the {MOB} clan, and you erase your account. Why are you back come along! continue to be a stranger. What are your intention.

I hope we start getting back into the real intriguing play-for power being utilized by the Clintons lately-and Edwards turning out to be what could be a King/Queen maker role-> or do we need to start Crying Game thread #4 .....

Let's keep in mind what's happening as fact in this 'incident' here. Above-at the top of this thread I think only some of you are aware that post#3 was not my post yesterday. It was post#4 up until 2pm. Steel had a lengthy post [30 or so lines long regarding Robert] which was actually #3, which some of you may have concluded existed judging by quote snippets of it you saw in posts thereafter.

Keep in mind I'm not taking up anyone's side directly here but just looking at things from an overview perspective.
Steel's post#3 disappeared for unknown reasons just before Steel made the startling announcement of resignation.
I'm just giving my thoughts here but some 'original' finger pointing at Robert as being involved in the original Crying Game thread's removal [and movement of my 'tribute' thread into Mob/Regs area] doesn't make sense. Why would Robert remove the original post#3 that he would subsequently lengthily refer to in defending against it.
So in my mind is whoever else that removed post#3 from here related to shifting removal of the other related threads?
I won't even bother guessing and I wouldn't do it in this Public area neither. But I'm just saying those of you looking at this thread until after 3pm yesterday aren't seeing the entire picture so I think let's cut some slack and get back into the thread topic - since the only way the truth of this whole matter will only come by way of that person admitting being the architect of it all.... accusatory speculation is perhaps leading us into a path we need not go down.

I was wrong about the 'finger-pointing' impression I got. Thankfully you cleared that up. Stl. had actually perhaps reacted in the missing Post#3 out of 'over'-defensiveness in that case.

I'm going to do my best to clear up a few points as there seems to be a lot of confusion.

I specifically made my initial post ambiguous ( i.e. "Admins" ) I didn't call anyone out by name.
Seeing as how there are 4 admins and 3 mods who were capable of deleting the 1st topic and moving the 2nd to the regs area.
Why was Steel the only one who automatically got defensive and blasted me, then imply I manipulated the forums?

Much the same as how some MOB members are now blaming me for Steel quitting.
The people blaming me over Steel quitting seem to have conveniently forgot both of those topics were started by MOB members, not me.
That makes me wonder if either of the MOB members who started the original topics would have been the ones to ask why a admin removed them without even bothering to say why or discuss their reason for doing so.
Would She have still freaked out and quit over it and if so, would it magically somehow still been MY fault?

My Druid signature wouldn't be deleted AGAIN.
My final post wouldn't be removed for 1 week, after that I said it could be deleted.

When I originally left after two years because of lack of time to play. The original server stayed in my name on the chance I might return when real life settled down and I and continued to pay a 3rd of the cost.

When I officially quit I kept full access to the site and servers , for the SOLE purpose of helping out when needed or solving any technical problems that may come up. That was right up until the incident with Sabot.

Truth is that several of us were asking where the threads disappeared to [me as you saw nearly immediately].
I'm not sure, but I'm thinking Stl. may have been going after the other thread and deleted 'Crying Game original by mistake and perhaps for reasons only she could reveal to us wanted to not let the error be known and not judging the response to that action. Anyway those who didn't see the original-now missing Stl Post#3 in this thread shouldn't be going after you Robert -since the implications I was reading in there [and perhaps Stl maybe miswrote her point in the heat of the moment] did seem like finger-pointing at you as the cause in some subversive way -> I'll stand by you on that point.

I agree this is a thread that maybe better moved to a non-public forum.... if not closed at some point soon since we've possibly had as much truth to the matter as be gotten. I think the only piece missing was a reason given as to why -or if by accident - the original thread was zapped-it was really as simple as that. It was after all, a few of us each openly suggesting 'censorship' more or less at the same time. If the removal was accidental I'll be a big boy and make apologies for that prior drawn conclusion.
