This may come across a little stupid but whats the deal w/ C4? Is there a certain rank to be able to use it?

Also there are alot of good shooters here... better than I saw when I played AA. Is there a day that the stronger players get with us noobs for training on the different maps? Seems like it could help out for those who might wanna try and make one of your tourny groups... Yea I know, I'm not even a member but stuff happens. It would bring some of us up to yalls cal.

I'm happy to help any way I can. Just let me know how, when, and where.

C4 is added to your inventory through the selection of the C4 perk in the Perk 1 category. I am not sure when it is made available or if it is always available.
Midnight Rambler
I had trouble figuring out the c4 at first myself. After you press 5 to select it you right click to plant it. The, at anytime you can press five again to get the detonator and set it off.
Genocide Junkie
or you can press your use key 'F' twice (very quickly) to detonate it at anytime as well
Slimshady
I willing to help anyone at anytime. just ask.

ya know slim you and geno are some of the top gunners in MOB and I think it would be cool to have some of you guys have a lil boot camp thing where we could hang out and learn some of yer secrets, I know that's sounds corny but hell for some of us it would well accepted, Justa Thought w00t2.gif

shadow is the real master... one thing you can do is to spectate one of us.. shadow especially to see where he puts himself on the map... and try to notice where the people come from and are going to... that's the key to racking up kills is finding those choke points on each map and finding good spots to bounce between to cover those... knowing the main spawn points helps to do this from the start of each map.. i haven't done it so much in COD4 but in COD2 i learned tons from watching shadow, blk, slim, and others.

I found that it help is you play Hardcore quite a bit, you learn to appreciate the things like UAV...you should whore the UAV when you get it in any mode...hardcore also helps you keep more aware ive found...

You guys are truly a big help thanks for the info. Also just wanted that was a little unsure about asking for some training. In the AA arena most didn't wanna help unless you were in their group. Many thanks to you guys and gals

Hey Old Navy,

Neat trick with C4 that I picked up. If your playing Headquarters and your defending you can throw the C4 up onto the ceiling above the laptop computer. Ounce you've done that find a safe place and hunker down and when the enemy tries to capture headquarters (when the defend marker starts to blink) trigger you C4 and low and behold the enemy goes BOOM! Most of the time they have no idea its their when they rush in...
Ahhhh good times.

I don't know if there is room on here for us to post any demo's from match play etc. but I will try to make a few short demos and post them if I can remember to do it. Also if there are specific maps you would like some tips on let me know and I can try and post a demo for that map with a brief description of what I like to do etc. I'm not great at all the maps but I'll help any that I can.

I know that any help you can give will be greatly appreciated you and slim and even snowman’s input show’s how great this clan really is …because like old navy said most peeps won’t share nuttin.....and man I need some help

Anytime you guys want anything, drag me into a channel and I will be willing to help at anytime. If you guys want demos, don't hesitate to ask. I gave one to ghostchild last night, it is really no big deal.

Like geno was saying on certain maps there are choke points at which you want be shooting into where the enemy really can't do anything to get away from it. As I learned from the match last night strats are very important for the 6v6 matchs and it is very easy to set up a spawn kill. Bascially in tdm that is the ultimate goal, that is how you rack up the kills. Althought people hate it, I love it!

Another thing.... depending on what weapon you choose there are different ways to play the map. So what works for me with an m16 isn't going to work for you if you use a p90. So let me know what you'd like to see as well. I can use different weapons and do depending on what map it is. The principle is still the same but I'm going to go about getting to those points and covering those points differently with each gun depending on it's strength.

I thought of using the vent but, it's kinda cheating I think if I can hear you guys, besides I'll feel better about using it when the Grand Poobahs have made their decisions. Still waiting for repairs to this machine and I'll be able to enjoy vent like it's supposed to. Hey while on the topic, are there any special set up for it when you guys are on?

One last thing.... the foul lang. thingy... is getting really out of hand later during the night. Mayor West has no respect for this server or your rules and needs to be punched in the throat. Enough said.

Getting on Vent with us is a must,we wanna get to know ya and its not cheatin its more like gangin up on others and oldnavy I have seen an improvement in yer play lately so when you get yer good rig back you should be rollin

Some guy in my office gets GamePro and left it in the breakroom. In the January issue, it had a 4 page layout of map tactics for Ambush & Downpour.I think they pretty much took it straight out of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Official Strategy Guide", but it makes sense if you look at it. I've noticed the people that usually have the best score -not necesarrily the highest body count- dont use martyrdom or last stand, or even the rpg's.

For instance, their suggestion for basic assault in "Ambush" is as follows:

Primary weapon: G36c
Attachment: ACOG scope
Side arm: M1911
Grenade: Smoke
Perk 1 :Frag X3
Perk 2: UAV Jammer
Perk 3: Extreme conditioning.

For silent assault on "Downpour"

Primary weapon: M4 Carbine
Attachment: Silencer
Side Arm: M1911
Attachment: silencer
Grenade: Smoke
Perk 1: Claymore X2
Perk2: UAV Jammer
Perk 3: Dead Silence

It makes sense if you think about it.I think for those of us who havent been playing as long as our esteemed -and more accurate- colleagues, that these are the kind of things we need to figure out. Every time we move up, you get new weapons, but we have an immediate need to find what will work then and there, so maybe we dont realize what weapon is right for what occasion. I always try to look at the board that is coming into play, and figure out what will work, and what wont.

I went on their site and tried to find the article, but its a veritable taqr pit of info, so I gave up after 30 minutes. Does any of this make sense to anyone else, or am I just rambling like a crackhead?

Awwww...Morph you been syp'n on me? Well then I'll just listen in then if yall don't mind. Then it'll mean a whole lot more to me then when yall call me a dumbass.

MorPhine
Oldnavy you and me can have a great time on vent we are gamin all the time so we at least then we can cut up on each other and they dont call me a dumbass so I think yer in danger there....beside I'm the dumbass in the clan but hangin with these guys on vent will only make us better

Different strats for HC vs regular rules as well. IMO the M14 and G3 are useless unless you are playing a HC game. In the regular game I think the M16 or the M4 with the increased damage and deeper impact probably is a safe route to go. Use the M16 and the ACOG for longer range effectiveness while the M4 is a good all purpose. P90 for close in maps.

Oh, and I thought I was the only one to put the C4 on the ceiling.....

I have learned a ton by spec'ing players, its a great way to pick up the little things that are easily missed.

A couple of days ago when were throwing around the lead and I stated that I couldn"t get your trick to work... well this evening I tried to get the C4 to stick to the ceiling and got it to work. Also got my KIA using it to night. Thanks for the suggestion Snowman
