After 2 minutes I loged back into the server picked my weapons and my computer locked up hard core. No way to get out of it without unplugging it. So I went to punk buster updated my PB and tried again. Same thign happend again. What is goin on? I just cant figure it out. It happens on other servers to. Thanks for the help.

Sounds weird but that is windows,I would save yer maps and config file to yer desktop then try uninstalling both games and make sure the Dic folders are gone if you have a program such as xp manager it will do a clean uninstall for you then reboot ,disk clean ,defrag and reload coduo then jus replace yer maps and config file

Man I hope this helps ya

Yikes, the dreaded PB kick.I am familiar with this......VERY familiar with this, as anyone here can tell you.

If I were you, I would first un-install everything. Be sure to go into your program files and delete the remaining COD files there, because if you dont, the problem will most likely return the minute you re-install.

Barring that, I'd search our forums and see if you can find an answer there. Without much more specific info, I cant give you a better answer (sorry) than that. If that doesnt help, I'd suggest checking with the PB folk directly. Dont expect them to be "johnny on the spot' with an answer; it took them a week and a half to get back to me.

The last thing I would ever do is uninstall the games right away, IMO that would be a last option. I've seen more people having problems by uninstalling and reinstalling games. First off, it should give you a reason when booted by punkpuster, what does it say?

Check your processes to ensure that both PB A and PB B are running. There also may be a firewall causing interuption. Just because punkbuster is updated, it doesn't mean that it's running properly. Give us the punkbuster error number or cause and we will help you figure it out.

Steel posted this in another area, but I think it might be useful to you.
" If your game hangs while trying to download a map, or you are having horrible lag and/or connection interruption problems, or etc., AND YOU HAVE TRIED #1 ABOVE, then:

Download and run the cod, coduo, cod2 multifixer from http://callofduty.filefront.com/file/CoD_MultiFixer;67336. It will take all of the non-stock stuff out of your game and put it inside a folder where it is no longer accessed by your game.
If you want to read the whole section go to the modern weapons section of the forums and it is pinned at the top of the forum area.

T/A6pak, Hit the nail on the head. The CODUO multi fixer works wonders it returns your game to it original cofiguration.I use it when ever i have problems. It is a must.I dont know if it will resolve PB problems though.

One other thing make sure if you play on a server with MODS,after you finish playing on that server ALWAYS quit the game and close it go back to your desktop and then re-open the game from scratch.

Good luck,Partner!

In retrospect, maybe thats why I had so many problems. Ah well, ignore my posts chief, I only meant well! But you know what they say, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions".

I didn't read where he said he had a cod dump jus the pb issue but that’s not it ....to me clean install is a easy cure for your registry, and it also sounds like more of a windows issue since when you install a game it creates a folder some with files that cant be uninstalled and WILL create problems when you re- install the game, I have never used the cod tool but It could work so try that first like ta said reinstall is kinda last resort But if ya got it down then its like 10 mins
