Belichek continues to be an embarrasment to himself, his team and the NFL. He actually left the field before the final play!?!?!?! What a ass-hat.

Way to go Giants!!!
Pancakes
Woot woot Giants!

I would like to point out that I predicted a 3 point win by the Giants in a different thread.

If anyone had bothered to ask, I could have told you why I knew they would win.

I tried to explain it to all the Cowboy fans here in Dallas before their first playoff game, but nobody wanted to understand the truth.

The Giants are the best team in the NFL. You don't have to win every game to prove it. You just have to win the right games.

I found it:

Doesn't matter. He may beat my Giants, but he is going to get pounded in the process. If he's not hurting now, he will be after the Super Bowl.

Giants 30-27

OK, I was off on the score, but everyone thought it would be high scoring. I was right on the 3 point win and on Tom Brady getting beat up. 18 hits on him and some of them were pretty severe. He was looking to get rid of the ball as quick as he could and too often it was before the play could fully develope.
He's going to be sore tomorrow, and I'm glad.

I would also like to add the Belechick leaving the feild before the game was officially over was tacky, and along with all the other crap associated with him it has added to my feeling of disgust for him. The rest of the Pats were totally classy after the loss (a bit of a surprise to me).

You have to understand, I loved Bill from his Giants days. When Parcells moved up to Pat-land I routed for the Pats. They had been so bad for so long! And I thought Belechick was the best defensive coordinater ever. For that matter I thought he was one of the best coaches ever.
But now all this other crap has cropped up and to top it off he just walked off the field with one second left.
I've got no respect left for him. He's trash.

regardless ,it was a great super bowl.the play where manning was in the grasp and popped out and made that pass was exciting! with all of the stupid video taping bs the press is jamming down our throats aside, the bottom line was this-the giants played the best football ive seen all year, they got in bradys face all day and there were very little penalties.

for all you spy gaters, every team does it,since the 80s most teams prior to the super bowl or big game would have closed indoor practices because the oposing team will tape their practice .the comish had to make an example of them .the patriots were the best team ever this season, broke alot of records.the giants were the best team in football today.great game!

Boring game, horrible plays, tons of mistakes.

We had two 50-inch HD Plasmas hooked up in the room. One with the game, one with Rock Band.

Rock Band won.

One of my coaches said that you could tell the defense what play you are going to run and if you execute it correctly it will work. I still believe that.

Most of America disagrees with you. What mistakes were there? Brady complained during the game that the recievers were open, but "we can't block them". The Giants D beat the Pat's O and the Giants O beat the Pat's D. Manning was a better QB than Brady yesterday.
It was an incredibly exciting game and I had a tightness in my chest most of the game.

My football coach also believed that the offense should be able to execute plays even if the D knows them.
In high school I used to play with Ki-Jana Carter. I was center. I'd point to the D lineman where the play was going and tell him the play was going there. My fellow linemen didn't like it, but we'd blow the guys off the line and Ki would run for 20-30 yards.

i agree,it was a defensive game and went down to the last 2 minutes, manning kept his cool and got them down the field ,period.i also love the fact they went the year tiki wasnt there, now you know who the distraction was last year.

That was one of the best super bowls in awhile Giants D was awesome made Brady look like a average QB. Up here in the Boston area Pats fans were talking crap all week so sure that there team would crush the Giants by 2 or 3 touchdowns. Now there makeing all kinds of excuses from the refs, the catch and saying Manning was in the grasp.
UNDEAD 1
no in the grasp bs ,he was moving and a guy had a handful of jersey-insane play being the pocket collapsed and he never stopped looking down field to make a play.
Bargod
In the grasp isn't even a rule anymore.

*edit*
Ooops. It still exists, it was just changed for specifically this reason. It was changed so QB's could get away and make a play, which is what happened. However, in the grasp isn't a handfull of jersey. It means wrapped up and held up. Now, apparently, it really is only called to keep a QB from being held by one player and nailed by another.

there just looking for excuses the fact is the Giants just kicked the sh#t out of them .

The best Superbowl game I have ever witnessed.
Those complaining it was boring were Pat fans.

yes ,i think they tooled the rule up and got a little more strict when palmers knee was crushed playing the steelers in the playoffs.the following year(last year) it was new york who lost their spot to go the playoffs because the ny def player had the qb and thought the wisstle blew for in the grasp ,forget the team they played.
