i have been having the urge to play (no modern weapons!) the last few days so i did and im pretty happy to say ive gotten into some good matches with a lot of familiar faces. ive found that Darkside aggravation has been busy , a lot of 10vs10 . i was on (DLS) last night and it was the same. thought id throw it out there if any one was still playing these days,been a lot of fun!

I still randomly hit the DD server and Happy Penguin 24/7 Foy server that HellFighter got me hooked on.
I use to play on darkside a long time ago.
Not sure which server you're talking about when you say DLS.

die lustigen sturmtruppen is the name of the server Druid, they used to play a lot on our barb server but they have a stocks server exactly like our old one. right now theres 30/36 players in there,so as i said people are still playing this game often! hamma i would love to get into any server where the old gang is playing,would be so fun!

Actually I'm still using ASE.
It's still up and running even though they said they were going to shut it down a few months ago.

The only other similar program I found is QTracker
The user interface use to look like crap.
Now it's looks just like ASE

I've been playing on Happy Penguin more and more, I just love using the mp44 to hold down trp14. So easy when you have that gun.

i added qtracker, how can i add you and others to friends? also , are there filters to look only at base assault etc..i only saw filter dls for cod and cod -no u/o. last question is can you switch easily between us and europe servers? dls is german,it has not messed with my ping or gameplay at all.

Funny that this was brought back up,

I just played for 2 hours on Sunday and forgot how fun Classic Base assault was.

A game with team objectives, players playing multiple positions, intel flowing all over the place and people responding and doing their jobs.... Fantastic!

Oh and my favorite, shooting a moving jeep, shooting the driver, then the gunner....(once the jeep stops they are meat) Ohhh The power surged thru me..... Damn I love that!

i just played dls and then went to txm ,had the pleasure of playing with thomas,i had thought he reupd so it was good to see him again.

i will be on tonight around 10 pm .

Believe it or not I uninstalled cod..... I get on such 'cleansing' trips when I over indulge in indulgence on my fondest games.
I kind of immersed myself to the point of robotic fixation with the happYness to be had in those servers you know I lurked in towards the end... DD, HP -then there was another very good one too [i forgot the name now -it was that good]. At that point it was mere going through the motions... lurking in hiding spots as a sniper to pick off enemy in their spawns got a bit stale... even picking off enemy jeep drivers waiting happily + beeping to pickup passengers in their spawn wasn't giving me chuckles anymore. The once sadistically fun tank decimations of 50+ kills of enemy at their spawn on HP was getting ho-hum too.... soooo, I thought everything has its time....
But maybe one day I'll return just for fun and to see how badly I play from the absence...
I play a few of my older games once in a while now... my next new game may be civ 4. New computer thing won't happen for a bit.... Mr.taxman had the honour of grabbing that part of my meager surplus of cash destined for the pc

I'm not even into the election much - I see Obama has lost his 'new face to politics' angle - proposing/doing a few things I see as too political which maybe what many others are thinking with the race being so tight now.... but then again Clinton wanted us to believe Obama would be crushed and decimated if it came down to McCain vs. Obama -so in that respect, the new kid on the block is holding up well.
If there's one bright spot as I see it, it's that my long time fave and almighty, Joe Biden is IN.
Personally I'd rather see Biden as Prez hopeful with Obama as the VP...
.........maybe Obama and Biden can do swapsies!

How's Geezah Cross doing! Has he been deported yet! haha.... j/k guvnah....

Dean has been busy with ArmA. From the sounds of it, he spends more time designing incredibly taxing missions than actually playing the game. But, we'll have to hear from him directly!

Yeah squiyahhh, that's one reason why I dropped Operation Flashpoint - I got over-heavily into the mission making and edits it easily offered- I can imagine Arma edit 'opportunities' are at the obsessive compulsive disorder attraction level.

No it's not modern weapons, but when we scrim on their server it's with AWE mod - trip wires and stuff. On our server it's the old classic Barb.
We play the 3rd Saturday every month at 4 pm est (10 pm in Europe)

And yes they have a Barb server running.

and to add ,i dont think i am retired ,i just took a break. cod4 was getting on my nerves,even though i still play here and there. i havent found another game thats hooked me. i didnt play for a long time and one night i said to my self ,m gonna play a bit of u/o and was amazed at all the familiar players.

One of them is with password, but I'm not sure if it is the 28940 or 28960.
