Interesting article posted on Politico this morning. It raises the question of what is to become of Sarah Palin. I thought I'd turn the question over to the great seers in this forum. Is she a flawed candidate who has doomed her chances for the national stage, or has she merely been mishandled?

There is a fascinating quote from her in the article that speaks volumes to me:

"I say, you know, when is enough enough of taxpayer dollars being thrown into this bill out there?" she asked. "This next one of the Democrats being proposed should be very, very concerning to all Americans because to me it sends a message that $700 billion bailout, maybe that was just the tip of the iceberg. No, you know, we were told when we've got to be believing if we have enough elected officials who are going to be standing strong on fiscal conservative principles and free enterprise and we have to believe that there are enough of those elected officials to say, no, okay, that's enough."

This from the mouth of a person who doesn't seem to have a basic grasp of grammar. It is the very thing that has made the Tina Fey impersonation so deadly. I've never seen such a flaw so readily apparent on ANY politician at ANY level of national government.

How do you fix this obvious flaw? Send her back to grammar school? That might be a start...

My suspicion is that, after this election, she will be little more than a trivia question. Like Ferraro.

"What was the name of that crazy Alaskan woman who lost McCain's presidential bid?"

"Oh. Her name was Tina Fey, or something like that"

Hellfighter
Ferraro= eternally bitter - always was- always will be.
