This is a quote from a review on the multi-player version of COD:
(The complete review can be found here.)

Infinity Ward has also added an intriguing, all-new feature to Call of Duty's multiplayer matches: a replay mode that the developer refers to as "killcam." Whenever you get killed by an enemy player in a multiplayer game, you'll have the option to immediately respawn by pressing the "F" key or to sit and watch the killcam replay. The replay switches to spectator mode and follows the viewpoint of the player who shot you down, seven seconds before it happened. As technical officer Jason West explains, killcam was implemented to combat the always-frustrating event of getting shot down by someone you couldn't see--an event that can sometimes seem random, or even unfair. Rather than incredulously tossing your keyboards to the floor in annoyance at getting killed by a seemingly stray bullet, you'll instead be able to watch the killcam and see exactly where your assailant was and how you were taken down. In this way, killcam will also help ferret out snipers who get a little too comfortable in one spot, since downed players will be able to use the killcam to determine their location and go after them. West also expects newer players to use killcam as a learning tool to help them figure out the basics of line-of-sight tactics and effectively using cover.

Please let's hope that this can be turned off. It kind of defeats the purpose to show you where the guy was that killed you.... don't you think? tongue.gif
Wassy
You're right Real, it will penalize the good players.

But I think this instant replay will provide proof when someone is cheating, so there might be something good in it.

It will definetly hurt better players and show everyone their moves,as for cheaters action-smiley-055.gif bind, boot, ban!
All over but the Crying
If Infinity Ward does not allow this feature to be toggled on and off, I am sure the modding community will take care of it. Just think how bad MOHAA would be if it wasn't for custom weapons mods. We have endured a game over the past couple years with virtually no support from EA. I think AA is still in version 1.11. Guys, this is allmost unheard of in the FPS genre. I am looking forward to CoD and look to IW to support the game against cheaters and such. If any of you are interested, Clan -=|dma|=- plans to have a CoD TDM server around the time of release. I hope to see some of you over there.

Peace

everybody knows most of the best players use cover to kill ppl plain and simple so this kill cam is BS once I have the game I will be looking to add this as an admin feature only for use in cheat proofing the server nothing else but bet it will be modded off regardless
JP
