Missionary was working fine yesterday, and then, all of the sudden i started getting Unathorized files in the unnamed soldier thing.

I read what to do in RealDeals pinned post and did it, but the problem persists.

Any help you be greatly appreciated.

No, i have not gotten that message.

That is the breakthrough cfg, i dont know why it wouldnt auto fix it.

Hm, i dont know what you are talking about Justin, but, thanks for you help.

Heres what i have done to try and remedy the problem:

-deleted the file unnamedsoldier.cfg and run Mohaa, connecting to some random server and playing, then, booting up missionary and trying to connect to the IW TDM1 server (this was RD's solution) DIDNT WORK.

-deleted the file and played a single player game, then exited and booted up missionary. DIDNT WORK

-restarted my PC and booted up Missionary, didnt work.

-Ran all the tests in the Help section of missionary twice.

-Uninstalled missionary, then re-installed, DIDNT WORK.

So, i've done pretty much everything i can think of. I dont know why it would suddently just stop working.

BTW, my anti-virus etc is ignoring the specified files.

I just wanted to clarify something that jumped out at me from your last post.
You mentioned following the suggestion RealDeal pinned about deleting the unnamedsoldier.cfg if there was a problem with it.
You also mentioned deleting the file and then playing MOHAA to see if it would fix the problem.

The question is did you delete the right file.
The file RealDeal posted the fix to is
c:\program files\ea games\mohaa\main\configs\unnamedsoldier.cfg
Your problem is with the
c:\program files\ea games\mohaa\mainta\configs\unnamedsoldier.cfg for BreakThrough

2 different files in two different locations
If your going to take RealDeal's suggestion for MOHAA and apply it to the
c:\program files\ea games\mohaa\mainta\configs\unnamedsoldier.cfg
Delete it and then play Breakthrough to get the game to create a new copy.

Maybe I'm wrong but from your post it looks like you deleted the wrong file.
If you deleted the under the mainta directory it wouldn't be there for missionary to have a problem with. Or at least not until you played Breakthrough again.

Dame he's good I went through post twice and didn't even notice that!

Ok, so, i went into the "mainta" directory and deleted the unnamedsoldier file that was giving we problems.

but you said to run breakthrough, and, i dont have the full version of breakthrough, only the downloadable demo. So, i decided to run the demo, and, lo and behold, it wouldnt run. The console told me it couldn;t load the font called verdana, and it had to quit. This happened 3 times.

So, then, i just tried to uninstall the demo, and, it wouldnt uninstall because it wsa missing some file or something.

so, i just deleted all the breakthrough demo files myself, which actually are not in the mohaa directory.

So, this got me thinking, maybe the "mainta" file is a spearhead file? i have spearhead installed.

argh, i dont know what to do.

I just re-booted my computer, ran missionary, and was able to connect to the IW TDM1 server.

So, to remedy my problem, here is what i did (for people who might have similiar difficulties)

-Went into c:\program files\eagames\mohaa\mainta\configs\unnamedsoldier.cf
and delted unnamedsoldier.cfg
-Deleted Breakthrough demo files
-Ran Mohaa and played for 5 minutes on goodfellas
-Closed Mohaa
-Re-started my computer
-Ran missionary and connected to a server without problems.

I hope that helps anyone in the future who has this specific problem.

/maintt/ is breakthrough

Just for future reference if someone else has the same problem

I'm guessing you would be fine just deleteing the unnamedsoldier.cfg in the /manta/config/ directory.
Playing mohaa would have no effect since this is a spearhead file.
