just downloaded the file.

beingthat i dont see a change i want to make sure that i DONT put it in the conf. folder????

i did as Druid said and put it in the MAIN floder in MOHAA is this correct...

Did you put the file you downloaded in the mohaa/main directory
or
Did you download the .zip file, then extract it's contents to the mohaa/main directory.

The 1st one is wrong, 2nd one is right.

Once the custom.cfg file is in your mohaa/main directory.
Start MOHAA.
Open the console by hitting the ~ key.
Then type this into the console.
exec custom.cfg

OKAY RAT HERE YOU GO. I AM JUMPING AROUND FROM THREAD TO THREAD BUT I THOUGHT YOU WERE MORE LIKELY TO READ THIS ONE.

I did as Druid said and I had some problems but eventually it worked.

Here are some helpful hints:

1. You have to type exec custom.cfg everytime you start MOHAA.
2. When I first did that everytime I would get on the server my computer would crash hard. Real hard.
3. When I didn't type exec custom.cfg each time I would get booted off and the game was super slow.
4. I finally deleted all of the other cfg programs out of the main folder: autoexec.cfg and unamedsoldier.cfg. When I deleted those everything worked great. It would lag a little but not bad.
5. You will have to reset all of your options if you delete those files.

well..Druid i tried to enter

exec custom.cfg

then hit return...waited about 30 sec. then re-entered

exec custom.cfg

then chose axis and waited to see what happened...about 4 minutes it kicked me, which i believe you saw

I'm trying to nail down if this is problem on our setup or if it also happens on the IW server.

It would also be helpful if a mac user could get with me and setup a time for you to try and join our server when it's running "missionary only".
I need to get a copy of your settings right when you join the server.

tried IW 3 times and still kicks me, Bart happed to be there ( i think it was him) he told me to download the new one which i already had done. But i went and did it again, came back and the same thing, Kicked me
