I noticed a message when I started Miss about approved rifle sights. I haven't seen it again. A zip file in C:\miss... was mentioned. The ones I tried to open required a password. Can I use the GrandMaster rifle scope in Miss?

I found the location. FYI C:\Missionary\files\sites.zip. Are all of these sights approved for use on MOB? The server is full so I'm testing, but when I chose one of the sights that seemed to describe the GrandMaster, it still listed it as a file to be removed before startup. Moreover, if they are approved sights, there are so many, how could one see them before using them, considering the time it takes to load MOHAA?

The approved sites where not an option when we 1st setup missionary on the server. I'll get with bart and have him make the necessary changes on the next missionary update.

most of the time when u dl a mod it comes with a jpg and u can view that.

Nope. Missionary users must use stock sights. There are "approved" Missionary sights... I think that's what Druid was talking about... allowing the approved sights to be used on Goofellas while using Missionary.

Hey everyone, I think what we have here is a chance to upgrade our sights and use Miss. D-Silver, XYZ, and Diesel, go look at the folder mentioned above and let me know what you think. There are many "APPROVED" sights in the folder. I don't know what they look like yet, but I want better sights too, if it's legal that is.

I've found those....I don't know how to enable them though.

I'm doing it the hard way, you know placing the *.pk3 files in the "Main" folder and starting MOHAA without Miss., going to an empty server and checking it out. So far, it looks pretty good for MG, rifle, shotgun. I haven't found anything like the GrandMaster sniper scope, but I've only looked at a few. You probably don't care about that anyway. The good sights for MG and other weapons are there.

sigh....i dont use missionary becuse i have a mac. i use an equal called the honesty.cfg it dont limit what i can use. i can use skins and mods and it dont effect my game. but i suffer from low fps rate which is worse. if i had to run missionary, i would be bored with this game. that damn stock (sound) german pistol drove me crazy! i would have quit 5 months ago if i had a pc. but i would also have ventrilo and that might have evened things out though i dont really know were i would be. (besides unhappy owning a pc anyways)

Each server in missionary has the option to have approved gunsights for each server. Blackbart has to check and approve every gunsight that is asked to be allowed. This is to ensure that there is no easy cheating over the misisonary servers so he controls that. I think that costs money for mob to do this I believe.

The cost is the main reason for me to stay PC. My brother needed a workstation for video editing. Once we priced a badass Mac, but after a bunch of memory the price was going to be around $30,000. He ended up buying a custom Dell for about $7000.00. This was several years ago. I guess the prices have gone down. I like them; the Mac has many advantages, but overall, especially if you build your own computers, I'll stick with the PC. I wish someone would give me a Mac!

Yeah for video stuff mac is better is the way that the bus system is designed on it. ML thats a lot for a video editing machine but like you said it was acouple of years ago. You can get a kick-ass one for just a few thousand now.

Hey Mona you been staying up late too much (and apparently drinking when I talk to you as well) -- those numbers are way off. XYZ Factor is right you can get a kickass for a few thousand. Most of the people in my industry (advertising, film/video production) use the MAC G4 laptop. When I priced one out (without getting into details) it was around 8K ++ (base models were under 4k). Software for video (2k) not included. This Dell XPS Gen 3 I just got is totally adequate but not near as good for $4400. All things considered I would have rather had a Mac -- but, besides the money, I just didn't want to start over with the software purchases and renewed learning curve. I've had two Macs -- they are very good -- definetly the best.

good just waiting on the new ventrilo realease, flagship has yet to give any details to when its comming. guess he is working on 3 plats right now and was having trouble getting usw to the mac. he wants it to be a suprise to the world when he release's the mac client. though r. wilco has a mac client out and team speak well they are useless i hear.... but all in all the mac is awesome for gaming. only the good games come out for mac and ussally a month behind PC. ummm i would suggest going up in memory then how they come stock. i have pc133 sdram @ 256mb. i need more memory, just waiting to go back to work for that. all in all i dont think there is any true diffrence in the gaming for a mac. for mohaa there are few cheats and hacks for a mac. also no missionary as it is but there is a anticheat that i run so do most mac'ers. there is a great place to play multi player games for mac called game ranger. they have their own communication and have it so you can det up ur own game (server type) to play and practice on if u want to. the comm cost money like 50 a year but it would be worth it. (if i didnt play with a bunch of dummy pc users.....damn {MOB} got me hooked.
