Since there site was hacked last week I knew sooner or later someone would post something either here or elsewhere.
To who posted this....
Go troll somewhere else
For Wassy who wanted to know who this is.
I can't tell for sure they are posting from their work.
The IP points to williams.com
So if anyone wants to post something else don't bother.
It will only get you banned from the forum and servers.
To those who viewed TLD after it was hacked...
I'm sure there where quite a few people on their forum after it was hacked. My best guess is it was open to the public for several hours as I received 2 yahoo messages and 1 email about it. When I finally checked it out there was 9 guest on their forum which is probably more than normal at any one time.
If you sneaked a peek, try to keep what you read in perspective.
We have been down this road before.
A while back DMG had problems with their forum caused by an old corrupt
backup.
Newer post made old private post show up as public.
There was one where several people where talking smack about MOB.
We didn't really care about that than and we don't really care about this now.
Truth is, people say all kinds of stupid things in private that they would
never say in public.
Most commonly it's because they know they shouldn't be saying it
in the 1st place. Or even more to the point, they know they are wrong.
There where several smack posts amounting to nothing more than
"blah blah blah MOB Sucks yadda yadda yadda"
I wasn't surprised by most of the post although I was surprised by the sheer number of them. On more than one occasion the typical smack post turned to more personal attacks.
All I can say about that is, if you really think you have something to say
to me, than bring it on, publicly or privately.
Also I did find it a little funny how the biggest talkers had very selective memories or were newer recruits who had little or no idea what they were talking about.
Since the split 7 months ago there has been a dozen+ times the issue has been brought up here and elsewhere. I never bothered to directly reply to them for several reasons but it seems prudent to make a general response to them now so there will be no misunderstandings and put an end to any future argumentative post about it.
The split and the reasons behind it was normally thrown out for one of two reasons. Someone trying to be a troll and stir up trouble or a rather obvious and pathetic attempt to change the subject when someone was getting their ass handed to them on the forum.
Well here is my opinion on it.
Cobra - who was the leading influence behind the split leaves his new clan hanging in the dark when he one day decides to quit and doesn't take all of 5 minutes to contact the clan and get the server switched out of his name. Great leadership there.
Oppression - missing in action soon after he joined TLD
Dio - Quit soon after joining TLD
Panzer - Quit and came back
Crafty - Quit and came back
Ateurnus - Never really quit but not very active
Mayhem - Never really quit but not very active
Nixon - Taking an extended break
Stone - Who was so big on being part of TLD he only played on DMG's server and didn't even bother to signup on TLD's forum for 2 months.
I think that says all that needs to be said.
At the time of the split I regretted seeing everyone go.
Now with 20/20 hindsight, the only people I regret leaving would be Benny, Stone & LOM.
I'm sure there will be a flurry of complaints ( probably privately ) about how I'm just stirring up shit again.
The fact is, as I already said this reply could of been posted a dozen times in the past but wasn't. Now I have no choice, who knows how many people read some of the post on TLD after it was hacked. Plus people not knowing enough of the truth to put things in perspective or realize most of the negative post amounted to nothing more substantial than someone with an ax to grind pointing fingers and calling names.

P.S. Anyone think there are similar posts
in MOB's private forum's regarding TLD ?
I doubt you'll believe it but nope not really at least nothing to the extent coming from yours. As I have already said, talking smack prior to a match is normal. Hell, I would be surprised if there wasn't. The truth is most of the active MOB members were recruited after the split so they didn't have the need or the ax to grind.
