this was on the west coast server, if something is up ill email gpf. i remember reading somewhere that people can fill up empty slots and take the server out of operation by filling up empty slots with bullshit people. hotshot jr said he didnt see anyone in the spec area but this is what i got. he changed his name after a minute. i have lots of trouble playing there i get super low fps rate and tons of lag. so im not calling this guy a hack more like is it me or is he up to something?? u all have much more info on the matter. sorry to put this here if its in the wrong spot.

Looks like a Denial Of Service attack. CI has an option to stop that or at least limit it from happening. I will let GPF know about it.

d-day, yes i modded the game, the only one i really like is the sparks one where when the bullets hit metal (ex rails) it sparks like in the movies...kinda cool

I did some server re-config last nigth, to try to figure out why it has been crashing randomly (but usually with heavy load). The server is no where near max, but
something seems wrong.

Anyway, I took out a lot of support stuff to try to get it down to "bare minimum" server; and it looks like I accitentally nuked the MAM stuff for the map fixes and for anti-DOS.

Yes, that does look like a DOS, and I'll get it back to where MAM is working and helping stop that.

ALSO, I increased sv_maxrate to 20000 - which makes things real smooth now.

Silver, how are you generating the FPS and other info in the bottom left corner?

Type fps_1 into the console.

ANd that server is on the west coast that may be why you get a low fps.

leave it to a MAC user to give you a straight answer
