Do you think it's a bad thing to question the president?
Silver
Shut the *edited* up you pussy!

I have a question for you.

Do you have a valid reason to question the president?

I don't mean some misconstrued smattering of info you collected from some nutjob website, or any of the information you obtain out of context.

i have lots of valid reasons, aside from 9/11.... he cooked the facts about WMDs to go to war with Iraq. that's some shit that should get the motherfucker impeached first of all.... second of there's no NEED to be in Iraq... and im not going to stand around and blindly follow the president who's a freakin idiot in the first place as he goes and invades the middle east for oil. period.
Silver
hummm shooting at planes is not a valid reason.... i want to break your jaw.... nvm i want to break your dads jaw... you have any brothers and sisters? i hope not...
Maddcapp
WMD's questions have been answered. terrorists in Iraq? yes so in the WAR AGAINST TERRORISM we kinds are we need to be, and last time I checked my car used oil.

blk96gt
If we wanted oil, why didn't we keep it when we were there the first time?
The_redeemer
Venezuala is apart of opec- most people don't know that.

so it isn't just middle eastern countries that produce oil.

i'm just stating a fact- not making a statement about the president.
blk96gt
Yup. Saudi Arabia, Canada and Venzuela are where we get most of our oil.

As far as I can tell every president in my lifetime has had a major f*** up. I frankly don't see how the past 2 presidents even got elected (and yes I'm old enough to vote for both, plus some). All I know is that I thought Clinton was a fuck up and Bush is a fuck up, but with Bush this last time around I really wasn't offered anything better.
Kerry? Hah! Even my ultra liberal wife didn't vote for that lame ass douche bag! We both boycotted this election and voted 3rd party.
Sure, tell me my vote didn't count, but #1 I live in Texas, so it didn't matter, and #2 we voted our consious, and nothing pisses me off more than dems and reps that say that a vote for 3rd party is thrown away.
Everyone should vote their conscious.

Yes you should question your president same goes for every elected official.

In this topic that would be the only thing you got right.

he cooked the facts about WMDs to go to war with Iraq
He went off the information he was provided. In another topic you asked why the media didn't make a bigger deal about the downing street memo. 1st of all, it wasn't a smoken gun as people claimed.
Yes they talked about Iraq long before the invasion, so what?
I would expect that or would you rather it of been a " I woke up today and decided we should go after Iraq"
Another part of the memo that was always over-looked especially by the crowd crying about Bush making up stories involving WMD as a reason to go after Iraq.
Part of the discussion in the memo was their concern about Saddam using WMD in response to the attack, also discussed was the chance he would use them on Israel much the same we he did the scuds during the Gulf War in an attempt to swing favor.
Just so no one will miss why this is important, Why would England and the USA talk about how they would respond if Saddam used WMD's when according the the conspiracy wack-jobs there never was any WMD's it was all just made up as an excuse to attack Iraq.

im not going to stand around and blindly follow the president who's a freakin idiot in the first place as he goes and invades the middle east for oil. period.
This has been dealth with a dozen plus times.
Anyone who thinks we went to Iraq for oil is even more stupid than they claim Bush is.
All over but the Crying
I think that when America looks back at this administration in 20 years, the current regime will be considered one of the worst in US history. When Bush steps down from office, our country will financialy be in worse shape than it has ever been. I cannot believe that he lowered taxes and then proceded to increase spending to unprecedented levels. He literally bought votes with the promise to write checks with the budget surplus. If I ran my personal life financialy like he ran this country, I would be considered a financial failure. I also lay much of the blame on Bush being re-elected on the Democratic party as they could have given us a better option than Kerry who is farther left than Bush is right. It will be interesting to say the least in the near future as the US becomes less of a superpower and countries like China cotinue to grow.

Because the older Bush knew what would happen if you rolled into Iraqi cities. Plus, we needed the oil. As for the WMD's, I don't think Bush is personally responsible for that error, and a serious error it was, but rather his entire administration. Even if there had been WMD's in Iraq, I still think dealing with North Korea and Iran would have been a better idea. And Aobtc hit the nail on the head about the economy as far as I'm concerned. Talk about Reagonomics... rolleyes.gif.

Hey now... Leave Reagenomics alone.
The figures can be cooked either way depending on how they look at it but Reagen did a fantastic job. The biggest reason we had the deficit we did when Reagen left office was because he lacked the line item veto to cut pork spending added to almost every piece of legislation he had to sign.
Reagen could of done for America what he had just done for California if it wasn't for his inability to cut congressional spending.
When Reagen became Governor of California it's budget deficit was over 30 Billion ( this was more than all other states combined ). Within a few years Reagen changed the deficit to a surplus. This was done in two ways, a temporary tax increase and using the line item veto countless times to cut unneeded spending.

One of my favorite Reagen witticisms that he was so well known for.
When he was campaigning for Governor, his opponent enlisted help from Senator Kennedy who went on the speaking tour. Kennedy would open his speech with ""Reagan has never held any political office before and here he is seeking the top spot in the government of California."
Needless to say Kennedy never said that again after Reagen publicly replied with
"Well, you know, come to think of it, the senator from Massachusetts never held ANY job before he became a senator."

LMAO
