I'm being complete serious with this question as my wife and I discussed this the other night watching the disaster in NO.

Imagine a natural disaster occurs and you have 30 seconds to grab something and get out of your house.

What would you take?

For me I would grab a DVD backup of all my financial information and my wedding album. The last thing I would do is open my garage door just in case I was unable to open it later.

I would grab my wifes address book so could go stay with her sister!!

probably a cd with all of my poetry on it so i dont lose it all.

My wife, kids, the cat and the wifes scrapbooks everything else is just material. Scrapbooks cause is her hobby and captures the kids and our lives in them, that cannot be replaced

What upsets me is I heard that some poor people in New Orleans stayed stranded at there houses instead of bein picked up by the helicopters cause they couldn't afford to pay for the helicopter rescue (which would have been free).

Makes me mad that people gotta live that way with those fears, wheras I would have said pick my family up whatever the cost (even though it was free) and get us the hell out and I will pay ya when I can but some people don't have that option in life.
