See the thing is, our propaganda machine is amazing. I have heard of that, I don't know from where. The GOP should have used that as the platform for invading. The WMD argument was unnecessary. Saddam had already violated every UN sanction placed upon him, and that's all the reason any member of the UN needed to attack. Hell, it should have been done over a decade ago when the original ultimatum ended. But no, like what happened with Hitler, the UN let Saddam go with just a slap on the hand instead of the promised military force.

Another good reason for invading would be Saddam's slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Kurds. Or his torture chambers that drip sulfuric acid on helpless prisoners. Or the attacks on our helicopters. Or his sponsorship of terrorist training camps. Or his burying squadrons of flight-ready MIG fighters in the desert. Most of this I have learned from a high-ranking military official that I know. Oddly enough, very little of it gets into the press. Wonder why? I say liberal bias. If the media were controlled by the government, you'd hear about those things, as well as the hospitals and schools that are being built in Iraq. And the fact that Canadians are relieving several battalions of our soldiers in Afghanistan. Seems strange that the government would hide information that makes them look good.
