This is a link to the best margarita ever...
http://www.margaritaville.com/index.php?page=drinkrec The Mrs. and I and 2 friends went to New Orleans four years ago or so, and we spent 6 hours in the Margaritaville in the French Quarter http://www.margaritaville.com/index.php?page=cafe_no At 6 bucks a piece... we spent 400 dollars at the bar. The tire swing bar "stools" were a riot. Oh and yes, I dont remember much after that... BUT this is the birthplace of the name FLATLINER, because some dude fell asleep on the bar.... total flatline... This post has been edited by flatliner: 07/08/07 10:46am |

Hey 6, Being a former bartender I can tell you the best cocktails come from the best ingredients. I love margaritas but prefer mine on the rocks so I'm not sure how this recipe would translate for that machine of yours but I would think it would work well. - Fill a Pint glass with ice cubes - Add 2-4 ounces of Tequila depending on disposition and liking of Tequila (Note: the quality of tequila is extremely important your typical rot gut Jose Cuervo should only be used as a last resort. I recommend the 100% agave tequilas, Cazadores is my favorite Cuervo Tradicionale is not bad either) -Then I add about 1 ounce Roses Lime Juice. -Add 3/4 ounce Cointreau or Grand Marinier -Then fill remaining volume with fresh limeade. -You can reconsistute the frozen stuff or make your own (see recipe below) - Blend, shake, or stir -You can float a little Grand Marinier on the finished product if you like. -Garnish with a slice of fresh lime. -Then enjoy -Repeat as needed Limeade you can make it really easy (1quart): -Add 1 cup sugar** -Add 1 cup lime juice -Fill to quart mark with water -shake well ** I recently ran out of regular sugar and hand to use my wife's baking sugar, which she infuses with vanilla. It made a really nice margarita. *** I never actually use a measuring glass for pouring the liquor, it's all by feel those amounts are just my estimates. GL, HF |

being a current bartender i prefer more liqour than the juice and grand marnier is a must but one trick i do know to make a perfect FROZEN marg is after its nicely blended throw a qtr lime in ,rine and all and it keeps it from melting and adds color

LOL i had to do this...
Homer's Patented Space-Age Out of This World Moon Waffles 1 package caramels waffle batter liquid smoke 1/2-1 cup butter Pour first 3 ingredients on waffle iron. Close iron. You may enjoy the"waffle runoff" that is squeezed out when you close the iron. When waffle is done, peel it off the waffle iron. Wrap waffle around full stick of butter. Insert toothpick to close waffle around butter and enjoy. This is straight from The Simpsons' "Homer the Heretic" episode where Homer makes his own breakfast while skipping church on Sunday. Mmmmmm.... fattening. |
