so what do you think it would take to get the liberals (no offence to any out there) backing Mr. P and a strike against Iran if thos islamic extremists got out of hand?

At this point, I think the best thing is to just threaten at the most, and avoid stepping in another squishy mess with pre-emptive strikes. This time make massive strikes if the extremist leaders step one toe OVER the line [not merely boast and dance on the line] then all the critics will be silenced and only the baffoons will be outraged. The threats should be like, "You won't know what hit you if you dare actually to do A B or C [ie,give weapons to terrorists/make a first strike/deploy weapons menacingly etc] - no ifs, ands, or buts!" --------------------   |
