BTW, which windows media player are you using? 9, 10, 11?
If you are using 10 or 11 you can try this. Open media player, then go to options, click on performance, then click on advanced, then under video acceleration, uncheck "use video mixing renderer". Then close everything and reboot. Then go to a site and run some video to see if it will work. If not, then go back and recheck "use video mixing renderer" and also check "use high quality mode". Again, restart and then go see if you can run some video. if these options don't work, re-set the "video mixing renderer" settings back to the way you found them and we will continue to look. Also, open internet explorer and click on the drop down box under "Tools" then select "internet options" then click on "advanced" then scroll down until you see "Multimedia". Make sure the following boxes are checked; "play animations in web pages" and "play sounds in web pages". If they are, then that's good. |
