Is it just me or does anyone else miss good ole regular Barb? Options

Not to take anything away from the MOD weapons Barb (and other maps on that server). I sure do miss regular sniper rilfes and just getting smoked by Abuse by a bolt action. So, is it just me? Ok, let me have it, i can take the abuse.

Guys, I suggest that any of these types of discussions move to inside of the mob-only or mob-regs-only forums. I know there is at least one clan reading our forums and laughing at us .... I know because one clan has been sending me screen-shots of our forums and making fun of what seems like infighting to them.

You all have valid points. It was a simple vent chat among mccoy, 6pak, and cudadad, when they were testing my latest mod, that birthed the MWBA server.

My mods have always been geared towards making MWCM TDM more fun, that's all. I never intended them to be used on a base assault server.

But as it turns out, these three individuals came up with a great idea. MWBA is climbing in the server rankings like crazy. It's gone from down in 2,000th place, zooming upwards like a rocket, and right now, it's 113th of all coduo servers worldwide and still zooming upwards. I predict it will be ranked in the top 10 by the end of July. On its current trajectory, it will overtake MWCM and all other servers running my mods too very shortly.

So, yes, things could be better/different. And I am digesting all of these suggestions and will no doubt come out with a tailored base assault mod shortly. But for now, think about how it could be better, yes, but sit back and drink in your success here, yeah?

Other clans are "laughing at us" ? What's wrong with a little friendly discussion about the merits of the weapons and the various strategies needed to win? I think anyone who's interested should be able to read this thread, and participate if they choose (MOB or not). I was actually just about to comment about how nice it was to see a reasonable discussion...


But a couple points on the topic at hand:

1. Those who excel on regular Barb or Stocks are also pretty good on the MWBA server, so I don't believe the argument that the MWBA server requires less skill. Skill, is skill - regardless of weapons.

2. You're all right about the lack of teamwork so far. As mentioned, I'm sure it has a lot to do with the server attracting 'MW players', rather than 'BA players.' Hopefully more people will begin to understand the basic concepts involved in playing Base Assault.

3. The server rocks.

My thoughts too. This is a good discussion about some of the challenges of finding balance with the MW and the AWE mod on a BAS server. IMO, lots of good points/thoughts being shared. This is one of the more interesting topics I've seen in a long time that has given me (and others) lots to think about. If anyone is making fun of that, they need to get a life.
