Combine Tucola and Barb server (Classic weapons)? Options

I made a one line suggestion in another thread about combining the Tuchola server and Barb into one in another thread, since Tuchola has had a little luck getting people one lately. Several people seemed to like the idea, so figured it needed its own thread. Perhaps the two maps together would give the fans of both those maps with "classic" weapons a chance to play again. Personally, not a big Tuchola fan, but I could be tempted to give it an occasional go if it'd revive classic Barb again as well. Could mean some members who don't often chat get to meet each other as well.

Anyone else agree it's a good idea? I mean, the old Barb server has been almost completely dead for two months now. Tuchola has only been a little better. This might help both.

OK! my 1/8 cent. Do what you want with rotations, but would very much like the Forest to stay as is.

Someone ask me the other night about putting mw on the Forest and I said I don't think it can be done.

The Forest is not really dead, we have the AWOL in almost everynight and now more is starting to come in again.

I for one did liked the Boardsword, yes I know it was a big map, But it still was neat with the cable car and the ropes to climb up to the castle and finding ways to get onto the roofs. And yes I miss it but that was in the past. Now we have to look to the future.

I am a touch puzzled about those who want to keep Tuchula "as it is". Isn't that usually empty? The server usage for the month put it at 1/10th as busy as our MW servers, which suggests to me that it's empty much of the time. The theory is if we rotate, you'll get more action for both maps, even if there are those who'll jump on for one maps and exit afterwards.

If that's the majority opinion though, I guess that is the way it is. I really don't think it would work to have a Tuchola/Barb rotation on one server, and Tuchola 24/7 on another. That'd just split whatever Tuchola crowd there is, which would probably do more harm than good.

Gotta agree with MoD here. i think that a Barb and TF rotation would be very good, bring a mix of crowds and revitalize a server. Keep it standard weapons of course.



What I'm a bit curious about is will both Barb and TF 24/7 be taken down and then have 1 server emerge from their ashes? Personally, that makes sense to me as you guys then gain some more room in the server box (excuse me if I'm wrong about server box, etc) for when the new games come out.
