Mod, does the NHL test for steroids? HGH? every sport is plagued by steroids . you never really heard about NFL players using them until lyle alzado died and was open about overly using them through out his career.then you have Romanowski who said the phili eagles would provide them to the team,he was taking stuff and he didnt have any idea what it was-"they would invent something and i would take it,didnt know what it was" quote. Now the NFL tests (like baseball)but not as tough as the olympics.like i said in a previous post,until you have a hockey player who basicly shrivels up with multiple cancers and spills the beans about his rampant steroid use,like alzado, it will not be an issue.i can tell you that like baseball ,you have a small kid who wants into the NHL -its an easy ticket.im not downing your sport, i simply have never heard of an NHL steroid problem or testing.if theres no problems there,why test right?







a guy posted on my baseball team forums something alot of people havent thought about,the fact steroids have been in use (widely)since 1930 . i believe he posted that they didnt start testing for steroids until the 1950s and it was because of the wide use in the olympics.how can you say none of the baseball ,hockey,basketball and football players (around the world) werent taking them then??whos to say ruth ,maris,aaron or even rose didnt take them??its an issue now because guys are breaking records that were unbreakable and steroid use is out of control all the way down to early high school players,in all sports. the mitchell report is only the tip of the ice berg being most of the info came because of the grimsley arrest ,2 trainers and a bat boy.imagine the guys (like most of the oakland raiders 6 years back) that were getting caught driving to mexico and buying them on their own?most of that team tested positive by the way which drove romanowski into retirement.
