I would love to see the press do their job on every government official -senators reps and all the way down ,strip clubs ,hookers ,drugs, and their fucked up kids. Seriously.am i the only one that notices our press does their job ONLY around election time?

Wow, I found so much sour grapes in that link its not funny. That guy right away jumps on the bandwagon that its 'especially' minority groups getting loans for houses that he assumes they can't pay being the cause of the economic mess. He also babbles about eveyone picking on poor Mr.Bush and McCain, and even going further to say they tried to stop the downfall. Poor helpless Mr.Bush who masterfully and infamously weasled everything he wanted from the Congress and the Senate throughout the past years of his reign [even extra funding to continue the surge from the Dems]. But now the commenter casts Mr.Bush as the bullied figure! Then McCain in his own words this past Spring annointed himself as 'fundamentally a deregulator'. Then he gets into defending the Congress Repubs as riteously not voting early on the bailout vote in its 1st calling because their feelings were hurt by Pelosi's unwise snipe at them. In his mind taking offence takes precedence over making a prompt decision to save the global economy -we'll never know if they had voted yes at that time if the huge losses in the global markets would've been averted. I'm not saying the Dems who voted 'no' aren't scuzzy either though. I find it funny he's getting riled up about journalists - he likely had no problem that the journalists saturated the Rev.Wright story all over the news for months while other issues needed to be focussed on too. From what I recall about Palin's daughter, there was a day or two of attacks on her by a minority of irresponsible journalists- the notion there was a long term widespread 'attack' is a fantasy in his mind. The media loves attacking ANY human who can be caricaturized. Obama is a dullard for mocking - he simply has nothing 'over-the-top' about him for the new media to exploit in drumming up an audience. In my opinion that's all its about. McCain and Palin would've done better to fire their campaign strategists and just be their normal likeable selves and be viewed as popular; instead of sinking into rabid attack hounds -its this that the media is pouncing on from what I see -a very easy target that the common person pays attention to. Couple that with the hypocracy coming out of the McCain/Palin ticket when they scream out loudly about issues but in turn make fools of themselves when it hits them back in the face; ie, Joe /sam the unlicensed plumber who owes $1200 in taxes since Jan.2007 Palin's $150,000 makeup/clothing tab in 3 months -her supposedly being a mere hockey/walmart mom Obama Socialist accusation+ Profit wealth being distributed to 'everyone'; when the media has not hounded Palin as a Socialist governor in the fact that she distributes Alaskan 'Oil Profits' amongst her Alaskan citizens.... Commenter should wonder why journalists don't point out more often that 'Joe the Plumber' would have benefitted better under Obama's plan. That commenter's write up is just him being bitter from what I see -if Obama/Biden were being disproportionately slammed that commenter would be instead praising the media and announcing them as being patriotic.
