What's YOUR thoughts on sv_pure?, pros and cons Options

Just wondering what everyone is thinking about the sv_pure on server number 2!

I have mixed reactions.

Pro:

For once I know I'm not neon red in your sights.

Hiding actually occasionally really works!

The players that have taken the time to set their game up for sv_pure are really dedicated die-hards, and overall seem to have a good level of maturity. I haven't seen anyone flood the chat with PUSSY and FAGGOT yet, anyway! LOL

The feel of the game is once again immersive. I often wish for an entrenching tool to dig a deep hole and survive.

Con:

I really dislike the weapons mod as it stands. SMGs are WAY too accurate and hit too hard at range, making them the best overall weapon in the game. What can I say? I'm a MPSH fan...I LIKE the difference in weapons between the nationalities.

Some of my favorite maps went the way of the Dodo...I guess they were incompatible with the sv_pure thing.

It's disappointing to see so few players on. Saturday afternoon and there's only 10 players in the server. I like a crowd...there's safety in numbers, eh?

I think the reason the player counts are low is that MOB, in its infinite wisdom, has removed the means to cheat. Those that did, can't and the thrill is gone. However, this left the pure gamers with a pure challenge--a pure server. I hadn't enjoyed the game and the camaraderie for ages until last Monday when the rebirth Of MOH SH online occurred. The best players responded due to the love of the game not for any edge they gained from a minor cheat. Now it is "mano-a-mano" and all the fields are equalled. Skill rules the day.

Of course, age and treachery over youth and skill is always the way to go as you younger players will learn over time.
