What's YOUR thoughts on sv_pure?, pros and cons Options

Just wondering what everyone is thinking about the sv_pure on server number 2!

I have mixed reactions.

Pro:

For once I know I'm not neon red in your sights.

Hiding actually occasionally really works!

The players that have taken the time to set their game up for sv_pure are really dedicated die-hards, and overall seem to have a good level of maturity. I haven't seen anyone flood the chat with PUSSY and FAGGOT yet, anyway! LOL

The feel of the game is once again immersive. I often wish for an entrenching tool to dig a deep hole and survive.

Con:

I really dislike the weapons mod as it stands. SMGs are WAY too accurate and hit too hard at range, making them the best overall weapon in the game. What can I say? I'm a MPSH fan...I LIKE the difference in weapons between the nationalities.

Some of my favorite maps went the way of the Dodo...I guess they were incompatible with the sv_pure thing.

It's disappointing to see so few players on. Saturday afternoon and there's only 10 players in the server. I like a crowd...there's safety in numbers, eh?

Ahhh! Slowly the light goes on in my brain...that darn dimmer switch hasn't worked properly since the seventies, ya know. Now THAT was a decade for the decadent...

Since I haven't even bothered to log on to another server since I found MOB #2, I didn't realize that the patch had changed our weapons! LOL I thought it was inherent to the sv_pure thing.

I DO realize that MOB #2 and your inspired mod doesn't pretend to be realism. Didn't come around for a long time because of that. But the fact that it silences all that endless carping about "the uber-STG" and "the unusable Mauser", it's well worth the trade-off.

Since I just automatically join the side that has the fewer players (or occasionally the lowest score, if it's a notable difference), I was never that entangled in those discussions...I got to taste the good and bad of either side.

It would be great if on rare occasion the server could have an MPSH day, but then again it'd been great if I'd married Peggy Clikeman (my highschool flame) in my youth, given that now she's worth about 20 million! D'oh! Maybe you could slip it in for April Fool's?

I look forward with gusto to seeing the return of your weapons mod to the server. What the heck are you doing wasting time by reading this?
