Team Stacking on Barb Options

Hey Guys,

I was on Barb today and the teams were really stacked. I mean we had not even opened one of their bases and they had taked out all of our bases. Our highest score was like 8 and they were in the 50's after the first round. I was complaining about the teams being stacked and was only laughed at. My question is, is team stacking allowed? If yes, I guess I would hop over to the team thats stacked and be an ass. But I would rather it not be allowed because the game is shit if they are stacked. If it is not allowed, should someone be kicked? Who? highest on that team? then when they come back thell them they must be on the other team? Dont quite know what the rules are for this and want to clarify it. I just really hate it when people team stack.

Team stacking isn't allowed on our servers. On occasion, {MOB & [REGS] will TS, just because. Who was on when it happened? Was it our clan or other clans?

haha, i love Tstacking with fellow MOB guys, but i suck at barb so me on their team doesn't matter too much...

i have never seen teams stacked badly. only on cassino and it doesn't matter there.

Nothing, I assumed all your whining was supposed to be humourous - although it did become somewhat annoying.

Frankly, I dont see how the teams were stacked. I was playing German (Nothing was Russian) and I dont think I recognized more than 1 or 2 names on my team that I'd consider Barb 'regulars.' There were two guys on German from the same clan, but they werent that overpowering.
Yes, we beat up on the Russian side pretty good, but sometimes it's just luck of the draw who you get on your team.

So just suck it up, and enjoy the game!

The Major is correct, as I understand it, team stacking isn't allowed on {MOB} servers. However, it does happen as two or three members start a match then more join in and before you know it there's a whole bunch {MOB} tags on one side or the other. It doesn't happen intentionally I believe, rather just individual team choices and an opportunity to play WITH fellow members. Certainly nothing personal, and of course, I wasn't there, but perhaps the {MOB} folks should have broken it up a little bit.

On the other hand, I have joined games that were heavily populated with {MOB} tags and hopped on board too because they all happend to be playing on the team I prefer. Before the match was over, however, I wished I had joined the other team (LOL) because of the ass kicking the opposing team dealt us. Some days it just happens that way. Sorry you had a bad experience and I'm sure someone with more clout than I can help you, but I thought I'd share what I know on the subject. BTW, it is always a pleasure playing with you in the server, as you are a great team player. CYA in there!

Germans were ahead? Gee, most days it seems like the Germans are always behind. The map allows Russians to get bases breached very easily, while the Germans have a more tricky task to get that done.

As for the score issues... get those bases cracked. Everyone on the team gets a free set of shiny new 4 points for every base breached and another 4 points for a destruction event. Whoever gets the last shot on breaching a particular base gets a bonus 4 points. So at the start of the 2nd round, everyone on the team should have had at least 12 points.

(Boosting your team's individual scores is one of the few reasons as to why it's worthwhile to breach G1 or R2 before the last 10 minutes of a round. If you have half the team at 36-39 points, breaching G1 would push them all into arty rank.)

MOB is against team stacking, but it's hard not to play on the same side as your friends. I totally understand. But we shouldn't let it get too out of hand. If everyone does it for one match, well, they should probably split teams after the 10 minute match is done...LOL!
To keep the map fun for ourselves, tho, we need to keep it fun for everyone. So we shouldn't get too lopsided too often. I know it happens sometimes, but I don't think we get too bad (although I don't play barb much anymore).

Second, Canuck, It was easy to see the teams were very lopsided. I never complained any other time I have had my ass handed to me. This was just wrong and should not be allowed. It was really a pathetic game and thats what turns people away from the servers.

Seeing as you were the only one talking crap when I mentioned the teams were stacked, you must really like that type of play? Sorry, I like winning against a good team. Not against a bunch of Noobs. When I mentioned the teams were stacked, why not look at the horrible score and agree instead of denying it. Yea there were not allot of regulars, the it seemed like there were way too many noobs on one team. Thats my point in this, if you want to just laugh and say im bitching then

not that im bitchen but i have noticed this especially on stocks! its not just mob at all but there are alot of regulars that play there and wait to see wich CERTAIN player or players join what team.with the exception of certain times ,your either on the good team or the tard team.it teaches the noobs to try and switch or quit! i always auto pick my teams but ive noticed certain people who always take atleast 3 to 5 min to join any map-its llame! i love being able to get inthe games on stocks when the teams are even because there are by far the best players in the game that play here and its very competitive!

Look, in most situations I switch teams if I think things are WAY too one sided. However, looking at the teams during this game I wasnt familiar with anyone on either side. I didnt know who was a 'noob' and who wasnt. I didnt even know most of the members on my team. Yes, our scores were much better - but I'm not going to punish myself for winning by switching sides all the time. The game ended pretty quick, and in the next round things were redistributed again - which produced a more competitive game.

Perhaps you dont understand the concept of the "Auto-Assign" feature?

I really dont understand your argument at all. This is a GAME. I've had my ass kicked many a times, but I dont complain about playing against a stacked team. I dont see many others complaining either. So, yeah, I'll say you're bitching AND I'll keep laughing.

I used to switch when on a team of noobs [ sometimes regulars] kept playing nooby against a better team very very badly in spite of repeated voiced 'advice' on a good way to play a better game even if there was a loss - with this in mind why be surprised if noone cares to play on a side with only 25% of the team doing most of the work while the remainder stubbornly play in tdm camp mode nowhere near a base to defend. I'm sure most of those guys on a team that were just creamed were convinced they just lost a game of tdm!! [well the guys sitting in a tank outside their blown up last base did.]

I like challenges against a formidable team of opponents and I don't mind at all being on a losing team if they are playing the BA mission and make a half decent effort. I've switched often during mid-match to a very badly playing team in lopsided matches to even things up, sometimes it helped, but other times they kept playing over-cautiously and kept getting whoopings despite the seasoned advice given to them the entire battle to play a non-lopsided and better game.... so who can be really blamed for uneveness in some matches?

Bottom line for me is I'll take auto assign when it's a good game and with no friends about that I want to team up with that match, or if I've been working hard on a side I'll rather stay with them, win or lose. I'll switch if its a " trying hard team " having bad luck.

Pathetic games are very rare.
