Not to bring politics into this but what undead said is true. Non-Bush lovers want him out of office so bad that they make it look like the war in Iraq is failing when soooooooooo many good things came out of it. You mostly only hear another soldier was killed in Iraq today when the Iraqi news goes another 50 rebels were killed today. News is faked and bias becuase of politics, not because nothing is happening.

agreed, but I also think the bias goes both ways...depending on ratings, politics, public views, etc.

God bless the reporters who risk their lives seeking the truth in all the 'most dangerous places in the world'.
The other day I was reading a book on the Indonesia Tsunami and it had a series of photos of a mom rushing INTO the sea from the beach to grab her kids with the huge tidal wave oncoming in the background. Miraculously the mom and her kids survived... she was ferociously brave I pondered-> now I realise... the photographer didn't run away either! Yes politics interferes usually and distorts the coverage but once in a while the whole ugly, or heroic truth gets out because of reporters. That's why I like to look at news from stations all over the world; thus on one headline story you can see perspectives of pro- con- neutral- informative. I hardly watch local news anymore... imo they thrive on keeping their viewers tense and coming back for more-> topics at the station editor's whims. hmmm, maybe 'reporters in danger's way' would be a good topic to start up here or in miscellaneous forum. agreed, but I also think the bias goes both ways...depending on ratings, politics, public views, etc. you are correct! have you ever seen the show on history channel about how the Nazi/Jewish thing started? please find the links to back this up,a Jewish man had killed a German officer (publicly) in the beginning of the Reich (30s) and it was brought quickly to Hitlers attention and at his table at the time was the head of propaganda (forget his name) which was a job going nowhere quick in the Reich at this time.he over heard the conversation and pulled Hitler aside and assured him if he let him handle it he would be very happy which he allowed.that night he read it on the radio about the killing and thats what started the entire Jewish onslaught . it can go both ways, and we know this. This post has been edited by UNDEAD 1: 06/12/06 4:22pm -------------------- ![]() |

I agree that our media is one huge propoganda machine. From the war in Iraq to torturing prisoners, it pisses me off. Tell us what we need to know and if it's more classified, don't tell us at all. As for the torturing, I'm getting sick of politicians and people freaking out about it. Even if it is happening, what's the big deal? It happens to us when we're captured. If playing music loudly while prisoners are trying to sleep will stop another 9/11, I'll send the prison some mix cds of my own. The world has quickly forgotten that these terrorist are still planning to hurt people, whether it be in the US, Canada, Europe, etc. Now they deserve human rights.... WTF?

WE DEF ARE TORTURING THESE GUYS . they have to right?to be honest i dont care and dont want to know.i also dont care if their on hunger strikes or hanging themselves either!
when was the last time there was a big story broken by our media? seems when ever a story "LEAKS"out these days someone gains politically? the media is real useful around election time as well, with all the slander adds we all love (you'd think they would want to promote what GOOD things they were going to do).the govt officials use the media to better their careers. i honestly believe the media to be the cancer of our society! -------------------- ![]() |
