Riddle 2 What was the biggest island in the world before the discovery of Australia by Captain Cook? Riddle 3 A rubber ball is tossed off the top of a 90 foot building. Every time it bounces, it goes back up half way. How many bounces will the ball take before it stops? As for 2 I'd argue that Australia is in fact a continent, which means that the same island as before australia was dicovered... which makes it Greenland? Which brings me to my question, why is Iceland green and Greenland ice? |

New ones
1. A petshop owner had a parrot with a sign on its cage that said "Parrot repeats everything it hears." A young man bought the parrot and for two weeks he spoke to it and it didn't say a word. He returned the parrot but the shopkeeper said he never lied about the parrot. How can this be? 2. Which word in the English language becomes shorter when it is lengthened? 3. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him? Try these on for size...... -------------------- ![]() "Wars come and go, But my soldiers they stay eternal" - Tupac Shakur ![]() |

1) The parrot is deaf.
2) Just a guess here but is it short? 3) I'm guessing the lions as they should be nothing but dust after having not eaten for 3 years. The vikings wanted to hide iceland from the world so they called the worst island greenland so when it was visited people would say this is terrible I don't even want to bother with iceland. And it worked iceland was the secret of the vikings for many years. -------------------- ![]() |
