I thought of using the vent but, it's kinda cheating I think if I can hear you guys, besides I'll feel better about using it when the Grand Poobahs have made their decisions. Still waiting for repairs to this machine and I'll be able to enjoy vent like it's supposed to. Hey while on the topic, are there any special set up for it when you guys are on?
One last thing.... the foul lang. thingy... is getting really out of hand later during the night. Mayor West has no respect for this server or your rules and needs to be punched in the throat. Enough said. |

Some guy in my office gets GamePro and left it in the breakroom. In the January issue, it had a 4 page layout of map tactics for Ambush & Downpour.I think they pretty much took it straight out of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Official Strategy Guide", but it makes sense if you look at it. I've noticed the people that usually have the best score -not necesarrily the highest body count- dont use martyrdom or last stand, or even the rpg's.
For instance, their suggestion for basic assault in "Ambush" is as follows: Primary weapon: G36c Attachment: ACOG scope Side arm: M1911 Grenade: Smoke Perk 1 :Frag X3 Perk 2: UAV Jammer Perk 3: Extreme conditioning. For silent assault on "Downpour" Primary weapon: M4 Carbine Attachment: Silencer Side Arm: M1911 Attachment: silencer Grenade: Smoke Perk 1: Claymore X2 Perk2: UAV Jammer Perk 3: Dead Silence It makes sense if you think about it.I think for those of us who havent been playing as long as our esteemed -and more accurate- colleagues, that these are the kind of things we need to figure out. Every time we move up, you get new weapons, but we have an immediate need to find what will work then and there, so maybe we dont realize what weapon is right for what occasion. I always try to look at the board that is coming into play, and figure out what will work, and what wont. I went on their site and tried to find the article, but its a veritable taqr pit of info, so I gave up after 30 minutes. Does any of this make sense to anyone else, or am I just rambling like a crackhead? |

Different strats for HC vs regular rules as well. IMO the M14 and G3 are useless unless you are playing a HC game. In the regular game I think the M16 or the M4 with the increased damage and deeper impact probably is a safe route to go. Use the M16 and the ACOG for longer range effectiveness while the M4 is a good all purpose. P90 for close in maps.

I have learned a ton by spec'ing players, its a great way to pick up the little things that are easily missed.

Hey Old Navy, Neat trick with C4 that I picked up. If your playing Headquarters and your defending you can throw the C4 up onto the ceiling above the laptop computer. Ounce you've done that find a safe place and hunker down and when the enemy tries to capture headquarters (when the defend marker starts to blink) trigger you C4 and low and behold the enemy goes BOOM! Most of the time they have no idea its their when they rush in... Ahhhh good times. A couple of days ago when were throwing around the lead and I stated that I couldn"t get your trick to work... well this evening I tried to get the C4 to stick to the ceiling and got it to work. Also got my KIA using it to night. Thanks for the suggestion Snowman |
