So, what's your opinions on the newest season of UFC Heavyweights? I think it's mostly crap that they would let Kimbo (the beard) Slice fight after all their crap saying how he wasn't a real fighter. I appreciate the "you have to work your way through the ranks of the UFC TV series first, but its crap. Either he is the type of fighter you want or he isn't. I say let him die his post internet fame death and be done with it.
Then again, who wouldn't like to see Kimbo Slice fight Brock Lesnar in the "who is the biggest douche bag" fight? -------------------- |

Dana said from day one that Kimbo wasn't cut out for MMA and that the only way he'd ever sniff the UFC was to buy a ticket or join the cast of TUF. I'm betting his contract didn't look anything like the other wannabees on there though. I think Mr. Slice was low on options to boot. I'm wondering how much influence Dana had one who fights when in this one. I don't think it was by chance that Kimbo didn't fight in the first fight. Internet rumors have been saying he gets ktfo pretty quickly in his first fight. He for sure looked slow, unskilled, and very small for the heavyweights. We shall see I guess. -------------------- Give a man a match and he's warm for a min. Set him on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life. |

I saw an interview with Kimbo, he said "You know what I'm saying" about a 1000 times. Just like a pro boxer, i think he's taken one to many hits to the head. On the other hand, You would automatically think he's a an arrogant prick but he's actually a decent guy and very humble.
Very unimpressed with the show so far, they made it way to much about Kimbo. The 1st fight was a joke, the guy who lost did zero and they guy won didn't do much better. |

You don't give the guy that lost (Abe) enough credit. He was doing his best to get the flesh out of the way on his head so that he could break the other guys hand or elbow with his bare skull. I rarely get bothered by the blood but that one was pretty bad. Steve Mazzagati is going to get someone killed. He's terrible about letting fights go way too long. It's one thing to give someone a chance to fight and recover and completely another to let someone have a canyon dug through their forehead.
On a side note I can't believe Rampage punked out and isn't going to fight in December. I absolutely hate Rashad "No Class" Evans and was looking forward to seeing him turned into a bobble head again. I hope Dana gets him straightened out between now and then. -------------------- Give a man a match and he's warm for a min. Set him on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life. |

I would put most of the blame on the first fight on Rampage, he put a guy who is all stand up against a guy who is all about the ground game. But should have recognize that all the other going was going to do is try and take him down. But he has my respect for somehow continuing with that grand canyon on his forehead.
I am also a Kimbo fan And I don't think you're giving Lesnar enough credit. He comes off as a douche because everyone boos him because he came from the WWE and still don't realize how good of a wrestler he is. I believe he had only 1 loss in his career at the U of M. And Frank Mir deserved to get fucked up that fight. Reports were that he was talking so much shit is was crazy. and that's who mir is....he also is one of the most ugly persons I have ever seen -------------------- ]

I'm officially calling Shens on the internet rumor Kimbo gets beat down in his 1st fight.
I don't see Mr. big county bringing much to the fight. Sure Roy might squeak out a win if he gets it to the ground but it only takes one punch from Kimbo. Whats really sad is the fact Kimbo could get into the UFC only shows how weak the UFC heavy weight division is. Just look at UFC 103, the prelims were better fights than either of the main card events. I'm a fan of both Franklin and Cro-cop but they probably would have been cut already if it wasn't for their name recognition. I got bored a while back an downloaded all of Cro-Cop and Fedor old fights. Cro-Cop isn't even a shadow of his former self. He just lost 3 of his last 4 fights and probably would have lost the other one if it wasn't for an eye poke the refer didn't see. Looking forward to the show even though it's pathetic how all these guys have gassed in the 1st round. |

Maybe Kimbo will get another shot. Roy (Dickydo) Nelson didn't impress me much. I actually thought Kimbo might have him for a min. He got reckless and got taken down again. Oh well. Should be interesting to see the rest.

I thought Roy fought terribly, He hardly threw a punch while standing ( He did take some shots pretty nicely though) But then just took him down and used his weight against him. I'd hardly call that an "Ultimate Fighter"

Definitely the worse season of TUF so far. Both the show and the fights have been boring.
While TUF has totally sucked, lots of great fights coming up. Oct. 10th Cerrone vs. Ben Henderson for the WEC interim title. Should be a good fight, especially since it's free on the versus channel. Oct 25th Lyoto Machida Vs. Mauricio Rua I'm dying to see this fight, very curious to see which Rua shows up. The pride gran prix winner or the guy who gave up and got choked out by Forrest. If the old Rua shows up it should be a good fight Decent card overall Velasquez Vs. Rothwell Tibau Vs. Neer Joe Stevenson Vs. Spencer Fisher <<<--- really like this fight Anthony Johnson Vs. Yoshida Nov 14th The main card is a snooze Randy Couture Vs. Brandon Vera Sucks when the main event isn't a title fight. Hell this fight doesn't even count because it doesn't impact who gets the next title shot. I am looking forward to seeing all the old TUF guys fight Mike Swick Vs. Dan Hardy Michael Bisping Vs. Denis Kang <<<---- Geno's going to pay just to watch Bisping James Wilks Vs. Matt Brown Ross Pearson Vs. Aaron Riley Nick Osipczak Vs. Matthew Riddle Andre Winner Vs. Rolando Delgado Nov 21th Brock Lesnar Vs. Shane Carwin <<<--- could care less Tito Ortiz Vs. Forrest Griffin <<<--- looking forward to this one, will definitely be better than the earlier planned matchup between Tito and Coleman. Forrest probably will never been anything but a gatekeeper for the division but I still like the guy. Here is a great example of why. He took a lot of flack over running out after the Silva fight. Forrest recently did his 1st big interview since that fight. The reported asked Forrest why he ran back to the dressing room after the fight. How did Forrest reply? " I ran back to the dressing rooms because I heard your mom was giving free blowjobs" LMAO Jon Fitch Vs. Ricardo Almeida < Fitch always puts on a good fight Karo Parisyan Vs. Dustin Hazelett < While I think Karo is a bitch, it's always interesting to watch him use his Judo Amir Sadollah Vs. Phil Baroni << Praying Amir pulls out a win after the early stoppage in his last fight Not to mention the big one Nov 9th Fedor vs. Rogers <<<----- yea baby |

104 was great.
At the end of the fight I was leaning towards Rua too. While I'm a huge Machida fan I would have been fine with Rua winning. The guy was amazing in Pride, glad to see him back in top form because the UFC LHW division needs more new blood like him. I for one don't buy into all the internet hype about how Rua was robbed. It could have easily went either way. After watching the fight a second time I can see why 2 judges gave Machida the 1st 3 rounds, don't have a clue why the other judge gave him round 1,2 and 4. The 4th was clearly won by Rua. So by my scoring it would still have been a split decision for Machida. Now I'm sure I won't change anyone's mind but here is the reasoning behind my opinion. I think the commentary unfairly favored the fight towards Rua. People are mistakenly scoring the fight as a whole an not 5 individual rounds. Not enough credit is given to Machia's strikes during the earlier rounds which several times resulted in Rua trying to take him down. All Rua's attempts at takedowns were stuffed, he doesn't lose points for these but it scores points for Machida ( octagon control ). Very little credit was giving to the well timed knees Machida delivered every time Rua tried to rush him. Ultimately I could see this going either way but it certainly wasn't a clear victory for Rua. I'm looking forward to the rematch. Sadly something else which may have been a factor is the unspoken reasoning some judges use, where the belt doesn't change hands unless it's a clear victory. Fighters know they take a chance when they leave a fight in the judges hands. Rua himself said said he could have done better in the later rounds but didn't risk it because his corner told him he was winning. Bad stoppage in the Velasquez vs. Rothwell fight even though it looked like a clear victory for Cain. I'm a fan of Joe Stevenson so it was good to see him show up ready to fight. There for a while he was turning into a gate keeper. Great card overall, Hell of a lot better than the next two main cards. 105 Randy Couture Vs. Brandon Vera , I like Couture but give me a break he lost his last two fights, this is not a main card event 106 ORTIZ vs GRIFFIN, Should be a good fight but it's not worth of a main event. Sadly TUF is still sucking ass. I want to like Ramapge but he is without a doubt the worse coach EVER. Then to top if off, he's talking shit now against the UFC. He's showing his ass now talking shit about how fucked up the UFC is after the 104 event. Total freaking hypocrite, one of the more talked about bad decisions was between Rampage and Rua's brother Murilo in Pride. Rampage defedning the win even though everyone else said he should have lost. |

In the first 2 rounds it looked more like Machidas strikes were being blocked and countered quickly ,the guy could barely walk out of there let alone put his belt on over his swelled mid section.i just think Rua landed more of the punches. The only thing negative Rua did was lay down in the 5th,thinking he had it in the bag.

Oh my god, I am so disgusted with the TUF fights. All these guys enter the octagon with their gas tank already on Empty. Normally you see several TUF losers get signed by the UFC, I doubt any of these guys get a contract.
It only shows how much they tried to stack the show to make it easy as they could for Kimbo. I've been to a few tough-man contest which amount to little more than unskilled drunks slugging it out but was still better than the most TUF fights this season. I laughed out load when the camera cut to Dana saying "Now that was a good fucking fight" Was he watching another fight on his phone? Little skill an zero conditioning do not make for a good fight. At least the people trying out for TUF 11 look like they have some skill http://ballhype.com/video/behind-the-scene...in-los-angeles/ |
