i got in after deleting map pk 11 files {mp lorient dm.pk3} and [user.crete.pk3}..they are still there even after overwriting the old map pk with the new one...then i had to copy and paste the entire command line into my short cut target box..just adding the last extra set cl _playintro o dident work for me any way...dont give up i miss fragging and being fragged by everyone.......red elvis...is now Brother Mainard..he who carrys the holy hand grenade

I followed what Lt, CrazyIvan did and I got in no problem, I have also done the same on TeamCanada, and Lt. G. Reapers computer, with the same results. We can all get in fine now.. Thanx Guy's!

Brother Mainard brings up a point I have talked about before. When you download files your computers web softeare will ususlly "cache" a copy of the file in memory. This makes downloads quicker for you but can cause some issues. When you select redownload your PC will sometimes just go back and get the version it has in memory and drop it down which is the OLD one. To ensure that this dos not happen you need to save the file to a DIFFERENT place on your hard drive than you did before. This is why I have told you to do this over and over. So again, if you are having issues downlaod map pack 11 over again and save it ti a DIFFERENT place. then try it. OR you can go in to the mainta directory and delete Crete and Lorient and it will work. I had to take those maps out since they were causing issues with pure.

York make sure you have all the maps. I would reinstall all 3 map packs again just to make sure. Then if not email me guys and I will call you to help.

Look, surely it should be time to consider removing this sv_pure mod, Im not just saying that because I cant get on. I watched the server today over a period of 2-3 minutes and there were nearly 20 players failed to connect. The server is running with 8-10 players max. Normally its 19-20 and difficult to get on. The mod has been on long enough now to expect at least 15-20 players to be on !

Lets have some feedback on this, because its obviously not a stable mod. I have followed the reinstall to the letter and used all the correct patches and maps and it just isnt working. This is not just me but a lot of players. I agree with the idea of the mod, no-one likes cheaters, but I cant see this being the way to go. It wont take long and people will find other places to play. I personally do not want to as mob2 is certainly the best server out there.

Why not setup a test server with sv_pure and leave mob2 as standard. We can keep to the FK map packs but test on another server.

Can we put this to the vote ? I understand as Im not a mob clan member this isnt going to go down well, and you are well within your rights to tell me to f#ck off.

what do you all think ?

May help some newer folks, I sure don't want to add to the problem, but I copied my entire MOHAASH folder and renamed it (c:\Games).

Then I did a complete uninstall of the orginial folder C:/Programs/EA Games. Then I just did a complete new re-install following FK's instructions to the letter. The only issue I had was that when I went to install SH it would only let me do " update files or remove files" . I hit update and it loads the entire SH add on.


I put two different icons on my desktop and can now play a SV_Pure server ( MOB ) and when I want to play somewhere else..(which is rare) I just click the older version with all the other maps and mods and they both seem to work fine.

I found out I can get on other PURE servers but not MOB...what tha hay?

I was on today and there were 14 player I think and I kinda like it like this becasue now I can get on MOB2 any time I like with out have to refresh every 2 secs in order to try and squeze in

Smokehouse look at it this way you can get on and play SH whether SV_PURE runs or not, your penalty is less than ours. But considering this issue is why I suggested considering another server.

sokhar , obviously I dont check out the server during the peak US hours as I am in bed by then! Gotta sleep sometime. During most of the times I have been looking which is I would guess 12-6pm EST the server is pretty dead. Previously it was full. I can understand your attitude, but its totally selfish. Surely 14 players instead of 20 is not a good thing ?

The MOB server does well because there are lots of different players and its well run, if you cut off a large proportion of the players you will end up never playing anyone new! If thats what you want your heading that way already. I used to play most days and you would see a few of the same people time and again, but there was a decent rotation of players also. Watching lastnight there seemed to be just 6-8 players 2 * {MOB}, 2 * {420} and 3 others. I saw over a 2 minute period over 10 players fail to connect. I kept watching over a couple of hours and also saw loads of the regulars fail.

Ok fellas....I found out why I can get in sometimes and not other times and its got me baffled. If I install patch 2.15 BEFORE i go into the server I can get in as long as i dont close out my computer. If i shut down, when i come back I have to reinstall patch 2.15 again and I can get in. The 2.15 isn't staying in my files. Any suggestions??

Well...just tried it again...and again...this time it DOESN'T work....LMAOOOOO!!!!!! I thinks it's about time I just find another game cuz without MOB it just aint the same. GEESH!! 20..30..50 rounds to take a guy out? LAG from hell.....pee wha's screaming 'CAMPER' at every corner cuz ya kill'em....I'll tell ya. MOB makes a BIG difference fellas. But I can't finger it out,LOL!! Even the game itself is acting funny now....the control panel wont let the "PLAY" button work anymore, then when I get in all my saved options are back to default. Got any asprin? AND whisky? How bout a little raisen squezz'ins? I'd settle for some Aqua Velva and fruit juice again, tast like crap but WOW!! Takes you down with an 8 once cup...WHOOO HOOOO!!!
