I am not Mob anymore, but I must say this....Mob does not need this crap. A game is a game and should not interfere with family lives like I know many of Mob have. So when does a game become "not fun"? Could it be hours of mondane stupidity because someone cannot beat you in a given time frame?

Mob plays stock pretty much and if anyone does not like it, so what? I personally think anyone that needs a mod or a timeless match to win is pretty stupid. Keep up what you do best and leave the lameness to others...peace my friends

No, we did not. I posted and gave at least 3 weeks to pull something together and after getting very few relevant responses and lots of erroneous BS, I decided to continuallay keep up on the timetable. And as for "wanting it our way", the only say we had in the first match was the date and map and I did not even know how many were showing up or the time limit from this end until the match started. I cannot speak for logik since he is one of our "chairmen" if you will, but I have tried to keep this completely civil and unbiased in any degree, a fact which does not seem to be reciprocated.

If you have 10 guys that are still willing to make this match I have at least 20 on the waiting list. If you like I will even put up the mod so that it doesnt need to be autodownloaded by you guys.

Look, I won't be participating in this match, but I'm throwing in my 2 cents. I know guys that will disagree with me, but no time limit is just lame. If you can't win in a prescribed time span then you lose, or it's a tie. Learn to use the clock and learn to close the deal. Waiting around for somebody to get bored and do something stupid is no way to win a match. No round should ever last more than 30 minutes. In my book that is too long. If you are playing a match with everyone having direct communication than you should be able to coordinate your attacks. If you can't do it in 30 minutes than you can't do it in 3 hours.
A time limit forces sides to take decisive action. If you want to win than you have to make a move.
Otherwise, I agree with Hamma. Play a sudden death match. If you really want action, then the first person to take out a base wins. I'd play that for an hour, maybe. That would be intense play.

I will post up the ip and give silver the password as soon as I get them. And I am not arguing the time issue, its not my decision, but I can say that on average our matches last around 45 minutes. This also depends on the map. I dont recall a round lasting more than an hour and a half on tuchola. We have however had ones on kursk that last for 10 and a half hours, but its a horrible map anyway.

correct me if im wrong -if it goes longer then 60 minutes the first round then no second round?ive played afew rounds of the forest on thier server and believe this map alittle differentas for time.need at least an hour.

We have a 2 round setup on our regular bas server. If the first round goes longer than 40 mins then there is no second round, just goes to the next map. In our match setup there will be 2 rounds regardless. 1 for each team to be axis/allies so no one can say "well its cause Im german" ect.
And if you can pull together more than 10 thats fine. I have 10 on the waiting list alone.

i'm sorry that some of you find the time limit as "gay" among other nice things....

the fact of the matter is that our server has run with no time limit since the time UO came out. our guys like no time limit, our guys like our mod. we played you on your terms, now we're asking you to play on our terms.

i understand if you have a family or some other reason why you don't want to play by these standards, but understand that there alot of OUR guys that have family, etc., as well and are just playing because its FUN. it's a saturday afternoon :shrug:

anyway, all i'm saying is that if you don't want to play, that's fine... just please express it amongst yourselves and let the MOB that do want to play iron out details in this thread.

Not trying to be cockyor anything like that, I just dont see it lasting too much longer than 2 hours. Once one team gets dug in well it usually over shortly.
