Looks like a heck of a lot of action took place on the N road between R1 and G3...
Were you able to send troops through the woods (normally "closed")?
Overall, how would you rate the gameplay?
The N road was a tank graveyard!
Yes, you could move troops into te wooded areas. Some spots were too "steep" to move straight through, but generally you could put soldiers in the woods. As this is a realisitc simulation, you basically had to use woods for cover or your troops would be slaughtered!
As to gameplay, well, that's all personal preference. This is a turn-based strategy game (not real time), though after you give your orders you do get to see them play out in real time for 1 minute, during which you pray your troops will carry out your orders properly! This is a game for the serious war gamer. It takes time and strategy, but the detail is extremely high and realistic as to how the man and equipment operates.
I'd say it took 8-10 hours for us to play this 100 turn game, at the end we tied at exactly 50% each. I almost had R2, but lost it in the last 2 turns!!!
