No your not reading them incorrectly. Most power supply's split the + 12vovt rail to 2-6 rails, so the total output power gets divided into these different rails. Case in point, a 620 watt psu with 3 +12 volt rails http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817139002 will have 18 amps on each rail and thats it your not going to get any more from that rail.

The psu Big P recommended is a single rail which is good, but like I said earlier there have been some compatibility issues with the ABIT IP35PRO mobo and corsair power supply's, most people use them with no issues.

Here is a link to the above statement.

Do I need a +12 V at 26 amps then, or are they saying the total for all the +12 rails needs to be at least 26 amps?
I can't believe the thing that's giving me the hardest time is the stupid power supply.

And Vinny, I understand that having a 700 doesn't cost me more on my energy bill, but it does cost me an extra $100 in innitial expense that could be a deal buster.

Who are they?

OK BG, let me clear something up. Which 8800 video card are you referring to? GS, GTS, I know its not the GTX, mucho $.

Whats the interface PCI-Express X16 or PCI-Express 2.0 X16 ? Please provide a link to the exact card.

The PCI-Express X16, 8800 series video cards suck hard on the +12 volt rail.

Like I've been saying PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610 ................................ ya can't go wrong, unless you run two 8800gtx's in crossfire.

+12V@ 49A (Large Single Rail)
