To enable MAC users to connect to our ventrilo server, we will be switching the codec we use.
This change will require all Windows users to update to the 2.3.2 Beta Client.
You can download it from ventrilo.com or from us.

After downloading, you will need to uninstall your current version before installing the new one.
To uninstall your current version.
Start>>Setting>>Control Panel>>Add Remove programs
Then find "Ventrilo Client" and choose remove.

Your settings will be saved between deleting and installing the new version, so thats not a problem.

There is no need to wait until February 6th, you can go ahead an update now.
The only change is improved sound quality once we switch to the new codec.

Even though you'll still be able to connect with the old 2.3.2 client after we make the change on the 6th,
you will have poor sound quality without the update.

mac users:
uninstall old version
HD--->Applications.....Drag to trash
install new client beta 2.3.2 prototype 7 (this is the client I tested)

Windows user's who haven't updated need to do so now.

Also please test your settings before joining in case the change to the codec effects your sound levels.

my vent says that you are still running the GSM 6.10 codec

it's fine now. I just checked it. it says the speex codec is enabled. I don't know how to thank you! Finally, a fair clan that lets mac users play and use vent.

Aye, I noticed that some people's outbound volume was very high compared to others (points at Silver).

i have no idea what to put where on my vent info. i've never ever used vent or any other program for talking. help is greatly appreciated, espescially since the MOB vs. Regs is tonight...
