Your thoughts...."T.M."
Interesting video.
I can apply everything 'Mr.Forboding' said about supposedly stupid American citizens as he portrayed it, to what the neocons have been doing the last eight years.
First they demoralise the nation, then try and brainwash the population into the idea that the neocons in power can do no wrong. Those that spoke up were denounced as non-patriots and attacked. Large organiztions who spoke up to tell the truth were attacked as political enemies of the State and conspirators - including the Media and politicians and the average citizen who dared ask questions as to why the neocons slowly took steps to erode personal freedoms, and engineered secret police activities to snatch citizens from airports without due process and to tap into phone conversations without court orders. If all that Neo-con subversion does not ring true of a slow conversion to a idealogy State similar to an authority-crackdown regime similar to Soviet system or Iranian Cleric system then the Repubs not seeing that here certainly are the ones as defined by 'Mr.Forboding' as having the wool pulled over there eyes.
It's interesting how people with his views immediately like to group left-leaning supporters as a group of ignorant people who are gullable and are incapable of reading issues in depth and determining why they support the things that they do in life. They also then put themselves on a soapbox as knowing all the real answers and knowing what's really going on in the world. They then venture into the idea anyone with ideas other than their own are utterly without hope.
I find those arrogant twits very annoying. They need to get a reality check on how people individually can make up their own minds. I'm sure the clip is from the 80s so perhaps Mr.Forboding would have a different idea of how the way the world works if he saw what the consequences were from having 8 years of non-left/right of central power in place.
Fortunately Americans did not buy into the neocon attempt to subvert them into becoming fear mongerors and isolationists - fortunately people + the media kept questioning and questioning the Bush admin's leaning towards an authorative State in spite of the 'anti-patriot' hurdles thrown at them. The lunatic right wingers on youtube have materialized the reason why Americans chose not to continue to slide down the slippery slope of neocon demoraliztion .... when you see those nutcase neocons post clips that equate Obama standing in front of cheering crowds to him being Hitler

and his comment 'spreading the wealth' meaning marxism, while Palin's 'share the wealth' statement has no similar bitter criticism by the Righties, then its not hard to figure out that common sense should prevail over fear-mongering fanciful ideas; as put forth by the ex-KGB member taking cheapshots against the American Centralists and Leftists who themselves make informed and educated individual choices. It's obvious he has his own agenda to rally a conservative cause to destroy everything potentially left leading-including mocking centralists- in his personal vendetta to get back at his former bosses.
