I'm not calling anyone a cheater. I like playing on this server, although I'm not very good. I read here on this forum that the System Administrator tips off players if someone camps. Aren't snipers campers? I've seen MOB players camp in the archway of Southern France, for example. The System Admin should not help anyone! I killed Anvil once, and then within ten seconds he spawned behind me. He wasn't looking at me when I shot him, so how did he get such a lucky spawn? I want to play here, so don't take this the wrong way, but I want to have a fair chance. I don't cheat.

I ran a search for "Ventrilo setup" and in the search results Cypher bragged about killing campers.

Killing them and someone pointing them out in a game are two different things.

I read today that Cypher stated that when he sees someone camping, he tips off the other players so they won't be surprised. The discussion went on to challenge any other clan to a spawn kill attack. He said that the MOB would use 6 players to the other team with 7, and that they could set up and then the MOB would demonstrate their superiority by taking back the spawn zone.

That sounds kinda farfetched,but if its true, that aint cool...

What I think you're referring to is when someone in the server get's killed by a camper and that person types in to his teammates something like "Camper by the fire place" or something like that.

The System Admin should stay out of the battle if non-Mob players are to have a chance. I'm not saying it happens. I don't want to be set up for death by anyone.

aight..you might also be thinking of ventrillo...we always tell each other where and who killed us.

well we all use ventrilo - if someone is camped out somewhere then we let our teammates know.

oh btw...you may want to pick more than 1 spot per map to set up shop when you're camping.
From memory in Southern France you ALWAYS go into the garden behind the wall, and in Remagen you ALWAYS go up into the sniper tower in the allied spawn.
Couple of easy kills for me as I don't even have to look half the time - just fire assuming you r there

there are clans thathave a member in spec and they will communicate through vent as to what the guy was doing and the group would attack. they sucked so i killed them all. then i got banned for hacking. (FAGS!) thats what your thinking is going on. vent is like talking to your team saying and calling out were the bad guy is at BUT the whole team is doing this because they are all playing as a team. the everyone on vent is playing. (i guess i have never had the joy of talking to anyone on there) mob dont hack and trust me you do have a great chance playing here. vent does improve your game. it does give you an advantage over people l;ike me that cannot use it. get it, get on, and have fun.

So if I want to improve my game, I need to download Ventrillo and then when I auto select a team I can then talk to them through my mic. just like Unreal Tournament 2004? I know this explains some of the deaths I've received. I thought Ventrillo was just for clan games.

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that we have someone in "spectator" mode all the time and that person tells us where to go to kill a camper. I understand how this could be disturbing. I've never known this to happen in any kind of "secret" way. However, if someone is camping in "the barrell room", then you only need to get killed by that person once to know they are camping there. If you are stupid enough to go back (as I usually do because I believe in taking out campers at the cost of my k/d ratio) then you didn't need somebody to tell you that there is a camper there. You already know because you got killed once or twice. I would say that this is a silly thing to complain about, but I also get frustrated when I'm playing against a couple of people that are obviously talking to each other. It's tough to play against people that are communicating with each other, but not unfair. This is online gaming. We talk. We say "watch out south of the church". We say "sniper in the spawn house". I prefer to play talking to other players, even when we are on different teams, which is usually the case. If there are 6 MOB members or regs or others on vent, we are on different teams. It doesn't stop us from saying "Real is in Cobra's spot" or "Bargod is on the side of the church" or "Shifty is in the gay sniper spot". It's just part of the game. When other clans play here they use their vent that we can't hear. It doesn't make the game less fun.
All in all, if you aren't having fun on Goodfella's, I'm sorry. I thought it was the best before I got on vent, I thought it was the best when I was on vent, and I think it's the best even now when my vent is messed up.

ok first off i havent played with mob for like a year. but the year i did play with mob there was never an system admin telling players where other players are at. cuz the program used you can only see names, scores, pings, and skins that are being used. not the actual game. and people telling where other people are at thats how a team works and thats how Mob got to the top of the OGL ladder by team work

Thanks for answering the question. My brother and I talk on the telephone and it does make the game more fun. However, I want to bring in my other friends so we can all fight together. That brings me to the next question. What's the story on Roger Wilco? Is it as good as Ventrilo? I'm still not completly sure how to set up Ventrilo, but I haven't finished reading all of the documentation.

There are more non {MOB} people with access to {MOB} vent then {MOB} members and regs put together. That doesn't mean they are always on. Usually it is a combo of MOB and regs with a couple of others. But, I have been outnumbered by non MOBsters before.
However, MOB does not make their vent access public knowledge. If just anyone has access they can ruin it for others. This has happened in the recent past from someone who was a reg, but left and decided to be annoying. This is why you need to ask for the password.

I do believe you could also have ventrilo to talk among other players.Not positive though.I know many other clans have communication also. You are not being cheated in any way Mona. This is the best server I know of to be not cheated.Some cheats do get on but most of the time they dont last.The MOB group does not cheat in any way .Well Ive been thinking that they must have some steriod type deal that makes them so damn good,but besides that dont ever think they are cheating because they dont and wont tolerate it.Keep coming back you will get better and you will see what I say is true.

But if a group of players on on Ventrilo then they speak to each other and give a heads up. So maybe if your nice and play alot you can ask to visit them........and check it out.....
