well
for instance, you BUY a song from the itunes music store- lagniappe (a cd released by saddle creek) was only released on itunes, so i want to extract the file- its in mp4 format.
the format says
(mpeg 4 protected)
no you cant the thing with Itunes its mp3 player only. the new Ipods will only work with Itunes. the new nano wont work with windows media player

i wasn't refering to ipods, just itunes
anyways i figured it out, if you want to extract a song, burn a bunch of downloaded songs onto a cd, and then take them to another comp and load it up with windows media- and rip them and it comes out as mp3

You can save some time and a CD by using iRevolt.

You can save some time and a CD by using iRevolt.
http://gk-soft.net/code/I would suggest
http://www.hymn-project.org/ ,,, JHYMN or HYMN (earlier version) work great. With original Hymn, you can drag and drop your itunes aac to the executable hymn and it simply converts (a new copy) to mp3. Wonderful and fast. Good luck
